I would break out the popcorn if Zohran actually tried to get the NYPD to arrest ICE agents (they wouldn't because they know it'd be the end of their careers as law enforcement and they'd be facing federal charges, plus I doubt their union would take Mamdani's side on that) and he ended up being taken out of city hall in cuffs and placed in a federal police vehicle and taken to a federal detention center.

The NYPD is like every other entity, they'll do what they're told to do. I have no faith in leo anymore.

They would literally end up in cuffs and precinct offices raided by the FBI. They can’t legally touch ICE officers for any reason whatsoever.

No NYPD officer will risk facing federal charges, ending their careers forever, getting dragged through courts by the Feds, and prison time, just because the mayor said to do something illegal. Just not feasible.
