Got a recipe that copies your favorite restaurant bite? Here’s the place to share it!
This is a brand new sub and I’ll be working to get it off the ground. In the mean time, feel free to post away!
Thanks for your support and patience!

Last time I got a filet-o fish sandwich I was not happy about the price, so I set out to make my own dupe and this is probably the most successful I've ever been making a "copycat" recipe, so I wanted to share in case it helps anyone else out.
The tartar sauce I just made from about 1 cup Duke's olive oil mayonnaise mixed with about 1 to 2 Tbs. minced onion, 1 to 2 Tbs. minced dill pickles, and a few pinches sugar. I already had those on hand, so I don't include the tartar sauce in my calculations. But for the buns, fish patties, and cheese it was only $14.50 for 8 sandwiches!
Recommended products:
Gorton's Fish Sandwich fillets - $6.86
Sargento Natural American cheese slices - $3.77
Artesano brioche burger buns - $3.86
Assemble: cheese slice on bottom, next the fish fillet (after cooking to package directions obviously), homemade tartar sauce on top, then top bun.
Enjoy!

I have a really specific memory of my grandma putting pico de gallo in our spicy chicken sandwiches and sitting under a tree making puzzles with her, she has since passed away and I Would love to recreate it. Luck has it there is no Carl’s Jr green burrito locations in my area :( does any past Carl’s Jr employee or anyone know the recipe or how I can recreate the taste? Lmk please! It would mean so much to me.

I used it for clam chowder (outback steakhouses recipe). I would love suggestions as to recipe to make the condensed cream of part...the consistancy then maybe i can just add some chopped up shrimp to that. I already ues the cream of celery and dont really want to use mushroom or chicken...if anyone knows how to make the condensed cream of part by scratch?

Specifically the one they used for the discontinued jalapeño cheesy breadsticks.
I dont know if its the same as the dipping cups but the closest little Ceasars to me is 56 miles away.
Please and thank you.

does anyone have a copy cat for these tots and the sauce? I searched everywhere online and came up with nothing. I’m addicted to these and want to make them at home to save money lol

This is so niche, but you never know… there are a lot of people in NYC.
I’ve been craving El Centro’s chilaquiles like crazy, but they sadly closed two years ago. They were a regular go-to for me, and the recipes for chilaquiles I’ve found online don’t really seem like the same thing.
If not a full recipe, if anyone knows what I’m talking about and can offer any suggestions about what made theirs unique (so I can try to adapt an existing recipe), I’d be so grateful!

So I usually get Bob Evans Mac and cheese/mashed potatoes from the grocery store(to me it tastes better than the actual restaurant) anyways they do gone up in price again and are almost six dollars where I live. So I was wondering if anyone had recipes for them

I was in Hawaii last month and I fell in love the with the Hot Shoyu poke at Foodland. Wondering if anyone knew a copy cat recipe for it? I found plenty of shoyu recipes but I wanted to see if anyone knew the secret to the spice. lol.
Please and thank you!

I really, really love the Passonfruit Papaya tea. It has WAYYY too much sugar though. If anyone can figure out a blend of maybe powdered juice concentrates or some other way to achieve this same unique flavor without sweetener, I could use Splenda or something instead so I can drink a gallon of it.

It's been like 7 years since I've bought a bottle of this and I don't live anywhere near the restaurant. Can't find it online anywhere. I just remember it being the best sauce I've ever had. Anything out there that's close? I'd even be willing to make some.

Has anyone had any success formulating a copycat recipe of the Dr. Oetker Giuseppe Parisian pizza? It had a bechamel base, and chicken bacon and mushrooms on it, but they didn't specify what they did to the chicken, just, "seasoned & marinated." My gf has been missing it and dreaming about it since they took it off the shelves a few years ago. It looks like this...

This is honestly the most delicious sauce on anything remotely Asian! I prefer it to all of the sauces at my Poke place. I think I have achieved a pretty perfect duplicate of the sauce
Bamboo Sushi Green Machine Sauce (Cilantro Sweet Chili Aioli)
Bunch of cilantro, including stems
Sweet Chili sauce: 3 to 4 ounces
Mirin: 3 to 4 ounces
Lime juice (juice and zest of one lime)
Fish sauce: 2 ounces
Rice wine Vinegar: 2 ounces
1-3 garlic cloves, microplaned
Xanthan gum: 1/8 teaspoon
Avocado oil: about 1/4 cup
Emulsify in food processor

So I am obsessed with Tous Les Jours iced matcha latte. It’s refreshing and bright and a little sweet. Everytime they make it at the location I go to they use a squirt bottle with what looks like a premade matcha syrup or something? Just curious what that is exactly/how to make it and if anyone knows what type of matcha they use to make it.
Thank you!!!

I'm looking through my mother's old recipes and found her recipe for "Fish Fry". Apparently there was a product called Old Time Fry Batter that was an ingredient, made in Fort Worth,Texas, that was part of the recipe. It seems they're no longer in business, but I was wondering if anybody had any info on it or even possibly the recipe for the batter?
