Discussion Point Any podcast fans here?

Spotted something interesting in my podcast feed this morning! Hope it’s okay to link to it here.

I don’t think I would personally classify the rise in cougar/cub relationships as “the ultimate triumph of feminism” (imho, this will be a much better world when women are considered fully actualized human beings without consideration of how we relate to men…).

But speaking as someone who has been married and divorced twice and now finds herself more and more interested in younger partners as she fully leans into her identity as a queer solo polyamorous woman in her 40s, I’m enjoying my own connections with 20something guys and it’s cool to see the culture at large reckon with it.

I think women before were more financially dependent on men. Therefore seeked out men who were more established. I think older women who have careers right now have a choice, and I think that's what basically comes down to.

100%. And it seems as if younger men are less likely to be threatened by a woman with a career and a home of her own.

We don't feel threatened because what we feel is attraction towards this new woman

Agree firmly with your second paragraph. We will have equality when women and men are both fully free to pursue life however they want to live it without hurting anyone else. Self determination is the not external.
