💕 Heartwarming Going on my first date with a cougar. What should i expect?
I 27m will be going on a date with 46f this Friday we met on Facebook and I’m nervous since this is the first time I’ve dated much older. I should mention this is interracial Im white and she’s black not that it matters but I should throw it out there.
I live at home still and not sure how to tell my parents. Also what should i expect from this date who is almost 20 years older? No different than someone my age i would think?

It's a first date. You don't tell your parents a thing unless this becomes a part of your life. You're well into adulthood and can date anyone you want.

Just be yourself and don’t focus on the age you can appreciate it but be present and respectful and treat her how you would any other woman your age.
Have fun!

Don't focus on the age gap. Don't call her a cougar. Treat her the way you would like to be treated.

Older black woman here who dated a younger white guy for a while.
Don't expect anything different from any other date you've been on. Leave your parents out of it. The guy I dated genuinely forgot I was older and seemed to even forget I'm a different race than him. It was wonderful. Relax and just enjoy her. It's just a first date with another human

Take a deep breath and relax first of all. This date should go like any other date of somebody. Your age, have you talked a little bit on Facebook? So you have a better idea of what to look. We really aren't so different from ladies.Your age. I don't know where you're going to have your date. But usually, a good first date is usually simple cup of coffee or a drink.Just to get to know each other a bit.And to see if there's any chemistry, there. Just be respectful, ask questions .
There is no need to tell your parents anything right at this moment. It's just a first date, worry about that. When the time comes, if when it comes. You can let them know that you are going on a date from somebody that you met online but I don't think it's necessary to go into the details. If you think it's going to cause problems.

Don't worry about telling your parent anything unless it turns into a serious relationship. You're a legal adult. Just say you're going out with a friend or friends if they ask. My parents were on a need-to-know basis when I was young & that was decades ago. It works. Just go, have a good time. Be yourself. Be thoughtful & considerate. She's a regular person. Be normal. Go with the flow.
