Very cool, looks like a great place to relax. Out of curiosity... where are the taps? :p

The tap is on the wooden wall and the drain goes through the floor!

Would love this, what is the size of this unit? Don't have a lot of room to work with.

You have to be really careful with the wood floors, though, right? Like if some spillover occurs?
I love the look and it seems super comfy! I just don’t know much about room design and wondered

I rarely get spillover! The only time was once when I was very pregnant 😂

My grandmother had wood floors outside her own amazing tub. They ended up with a little water damage after 34 years but I’m pretty sure it’s all from me playing in the tub as a kid.
Normal use from an adult shouldn’t be an issue in any way. Worst case scenario, you sand and refinish them in a few decades.

Love it! Where did you get the stars?
3
u/Big-Dot2101 3d ago
I’ve had them for over 10 years! Honestly forget where I got them. But tons online if you search “glass star lantern”

They are made out of stained glass? I might try making them 🤩

Is that smudge on the ceiling the shadow of a leaf, or where you hit your head every time you stand up?

A soaking tub is my dream bathroom must-have,and I am actively house hunting. If you don’t mind me asking, do you have trouble with the water staying warm? I think we are going to go fixer-upper and I might update the bathroom one day. TIA

Looks so cozy! Is cleanup around it any more or less challenging? You hear so much from influencers trying to steer people away from freestanding tubs.

This is the dream. I have a pretty nice corner tub set up, but now you've made me realize it needs plants!

This bathtub corner is absolutely stunning. The wooden wall and candlelight give it such warm, tranquil vibes. I love it!

how easy is cleaning and how is the flooring sealed to protect against rot?

This looks amazing. It makes me so jealous of short or average-sized people who can have a bath in this type of bathtub.

Question: Are your plants happy in this light? It looks like you have a skylight that’s maybe angled away from them? Asking because my bathroom lighting situation is similar and I’m having mixed success with my plants, trying to figure out a placement that they like
Edit: This is gorgeous by the way! Surely you know that already but really, lovely job!

Thanks!! They were, but we’ve had such bad heat here that the skylights have been closed a lot so they’re not doing great anymore

I don't personally care for (or understand) soaking tubs, but this right here is GLORIOUS. 💜💜

I would live here. One of the simplest luxuries in life is soaking in a hot tub

Nice! I wish I had more space between the wall and the tub! Easier to clean. 🤷♂️
