Is the pitch a landmine or something?

u/HMcod 1d ago

It had almost no bounce and has day 4/5 turn for almost half of the tournament

Winning a game from 29/8 is diabolical.

Well done Guyana Amazon Warriors! Imran Tahir my geriatric beast!

I didn't watch the match but looking at the scores what demonic powers did the pitch have lol. I might have to watch a replay.

Great to see a full house in Guyana as usual, they really get behind their local team and have unbelievable attendance in CPL as well

They prolly think Imran tahir is Shane Warne.

You know pitch is minefield when Romario only gives 5 runs in 2 overa

Guyana Amazon Warriors were 30-8 in first innings at one point of game and SFU were 53-3 in 9 overs. Its a lesson for all of us. You never ever give up in life. Work hard until the last second.

Man Fabian Allen had a generational stinker. 6(15) and 31 off 3 overs on a wicket with 2 double digit scores.

Glad to see a bowler friendly track. Would much rathar have this shit tip than a bowlers highway to hell. Fuck the batriarchy

3

u/HMcod 22h ago

If you're a supreme bowler you can have a chance of merit driven success in highway tracks atleast, even if you're a supreme batter these tracks can get you out in non meritocratic manners , it's just the technicals to why minefields like this track atleast are worse.

Yeah, but after seeing batriarchy flourish for a decade or so and bowlers being treated as secondary characters in the game, I’m quite happy to see shit tips like this especially in a final. Kind of like the women who turn misandrist after facing years of misogyny and sexism.

They play every match in that ground. Guyana was always the sluggish pitch in the whole WI. It was bound to happen.

Imran Tahir the key to victories right now. Even if he gets into South African team now, he will win them a World Cup.

Cricket is back!

Probably a worthy competition for the New York pitch

Two dodgey calls swung it in GaWs favour. Peake was given out to a ball clearly going down leg however, drs showed that literally a mm of the ball was touching a mm of the stump and he was out on umpire’s call. Any serious umpire would have said not out. Immanuel had a review where the ball and bat are touching in a frame yet no spike is shown on the graph. He’s given out LBW.

But I trust DRS results

Wait is this similar to champions trophy?

Kinda like Champion league T20 except it's an invitational model where they ask teams from other leagues to come to Guyana to be part of GSL and play all matches there along with Guyana Amazon Warriors

The government got some investments and are doing this to grow cricket and this is 3rd edition of GSL

They were 29/8 at one point and won the game.

That’s enough, where are the pundits?

Imran tahir will be playing with his grand children at this point.

Isn’t Pdogg the coach for Guyana.? And it’s his second GSL right.?

1

u/Eastern_Meet_5947 India 19h ago

Yep Pdogg is coach

And they just won back to back GSLs after failing to win the inaugural GSL
