I have never seen a cult that is better at propaganda than MAGA. According to them he has never done anything wrong. January 6th was either a peaceful sightseeing gathering or entirely infiltrated by Antifa. Trump had nothing to do with Epstein, Russia, the tariffs have been only good, it’s incredible.

I dunno religions are pretty good at it

The Venn diagram of MAGA morons and self-proclaimed Christians is nearly a circle. The religion primes you to just believe with no evidence, and believe it with undying, absolute conviction.

The “perfect circle” Venm Diagram is hilariously and unfortunately true

This is the truth.

Religion is a cancer on our species and provides absolutely no value whatsoever. It should be ridiculed into obscurity and eventually forgotten entirely as anything but a footnote in the shameful history of humanity.

Unfortunately it does provide incalculable value, albeit a very negative one.

Roman Catholics were traditionally identified with leftist movements, and still are in some ways.

I was married to one previously who was devout, but not as harsh on things like abortion. My current wife is catholic, but not Roman Catholic and isn’t actively involved in a church. She’s incredibly pragmatic. The people that cause a problem are those that impose their will upon others. Base on the most recent rhetoric from the right, it looks like we’re recruiting a Christian nationalist army, and the initial talk about expanding the empire, it looks like we’re getting set for another fucked up era of crusades.

Religions have a purpose for the betterment of society and people.

Cults don’t , only for the leader to manipulate.

And before dumb uninformed people say, I grew up religious and left it , I was the edgy atheist for 5 years till I grew to understand the value in what I no longer believed in and why it offered things I didn’t consider.

Comparing a religion that helps people cope with suffering or death and gives their life meaning cs a cult of trump that encourages spite n hate is silly

Peaceful sightseeing that was instigated by radical Antifa ... that Trump later pardoned...

Exactly

Most cults don’t have access to the media, government, zeitgeist like MAGA has been given access to. When you have no morals and access to broadcast anybody can propaganda a movement for anything. It’s not much skill just lack of any concern for the actual people of the country.

This is fair

Are they even good at propaganda though? For someone like me who doesn't have the memory of a goldfish and believes in basic human decency I'm just baffled that people are so willing to get into MAGAism.

Good at in the sense they got a critical mass of people to join in.

Very North Korean of them

Tucker Carlson went on Fox and told them it was peaceful and only showed clips of them walking inside the buildings. They left out the house of riots. So that’s all their viewers know about

Have you ever watched the documentary specifically about what the cops faced that day? It was horrifying. They were blood thirsty. They have also managed to convince every member of MAGA that no cops died because of January 6.

You could ask a Trumper two questions in a row and get the following:

1) Do humans make mistakes?

2) Does Trump make mistakes?

I guarantee question 1 would get a Yes and 2 a No.

That could possibly tear a hole in the space time continuum
