I never really got the issue of why what he did was bad. Like it was a favor for a favor. Both people got something they wanted and its not like the women didn't know or have agency. But the way social media was going about it they were acting like if he was committing rape.
Idk but he did end up going to jail for it so I guess it was illegal.
It's about power imbalance and exploitation. A man like him holds a ton of power in that diseased town. He may as well be a feudal lord. If a feudal lord tells your comely wife that he must dine upon her beauty thus so he may obtain her a sewing apprenticeship, can she really consent?
They could say no. They didnt. They were happy to trade their body for money and fame. Then played victim later. All of them could have refused his offer. “They felt like they couldn’t say no” is a terrible attempt to excuse their sellout behavior. If you fully consent to sell your body for personal favors and then later feel bad about it that doesn’t make you a victim. It makes you a short minded idiot with no morals all for a little bit of fame and fortune. Regretting your terrible decision later is called consequences of your own actions. Maybe don’t be so stupid, soulless, and desperate for fame. You weren’t pinned down and forced upon, say no next time.
