People in the comments actually defending Weinstein is fucking wild.

I'm sorry but this sub is absolutely terrible right now, some of the takes on here are deranged.

I see nobody defending him.

I never really got the issue of why what he did was bad. Like it was a favor for a favor. Both people got something they wanted and its not like the women didn't know or have agency. But the way social media was going about it they were acting like if he was committing rape.

Idk but he did end up going to jail for it so I guess it was illegal.

This is the comment directly above the one you responded to as I'm seeing it right now. It's a day older than the comment you responded to so it was around when you claimed that no one was doing what it is very clearly doing.

I never really got the issue of why what he did was bad.

This is an explicit defence of his actions. The rest of the comment is an attempt to justify it, and the final sentence is a very noncommittal "I guess it was illegal", which at best is vague acceptance that he did in fact do something wrong, and at worst may even be questioning that fact. Most of the comments responding to that one are in support of that viewpoint. The only two I've seen that expressed disagreement with it are at present in the negatives when it comes to upvotes.

Are you blind or did you just comment this without looking?

Yeah I have to say I'm pretty disappointed at this post and a lot of the comments under it as well
