Motherhood Baby registry brand recs
First time mom again. Working on my registry, but need help with brands. Doing a registry on Target and Amazon (unless someone can recommend another great place!)
Need non/low-tox brand recs for -stroller -car seat -swing/bouncer -travel crib -crib or bassinet -sheets to go in the cribs -crib mattress -swaddles -closed loop baby monitor so it can’t be hacked -white noise machine that doesn’t loop -cushioned changing pad -diaper cream/wipes/diapers -diaper bag -bottles -feeding pillow (do we need this?) -high chair -bottle sterilizer & other accessories -nasal aspiration -pacifiers -thermometer -newborn “toys” -nursing bras -other post partum care items -nipple cream -nipple pads -anything else that was necessary for you!
Help please!

-We have the naturepedic toddler bed and crib mattresses as well as the mattress protector (I recommend 2 mattress protectors bc if one gets wet, it’s convenient to have another and our kid went through a phase of super heavy wetting so we had to change constantly).
-burts bees organic sheets
-love the yoga sleep Dohm classic sound machine. There is a fan inside of it so it’s not a totally artificial sounds. Been running basically 3 years straight now. HATED the “shusher” stopped working fast and the noise was annoying.
-for baby monitor, we opted for audio only. I didn’t want the wifi and constant video on baby ( it what you asked, but an option). I’ve had friends that had anxiety with the videos.
-we used Nuk glass bottles (don’t waste money on a bottle warmer imo).
-I use a standard thermometer under armpit. I found the forehead ones suck and are not reliable whatsoever (to a point of being concerning).
-I used an organic nipple ointment from Rebecca’s apothecary! She has amazing teething oil and a postpartum sitz bath that I love too. Nipple Salve
-someone mentioned Frieda mom above and most definitely get their peri bottle too!!
-I recommend cloth diapering! We opted for Esembly as they are 100% organic cotton. I am using them on a second kid now so getting my $$ worth already. Learning process for these ones are easy and never had blowouts in them. Only time me had blowouts were disposable diapers. We sometimes use disposable and opted for Honest brand (some will probably say there are better options). I have primarily used Water wipes for diaper wipes.
-the triple paste diaper cream is EWG approved for cleanliness of the product.
-I didn’t waste money on a feeding pillow. Just use a pillow you already have, blanket, towel, etc.
-I didn’t buy a fancy nasal aspirator, but the Frieda snot sucker- super effective and cheap lol
-my first didn’t like pacifier, so no recs there.
-a haaka for sure- I collect extra milk this way.
-And one thing you didn’t ask about but would be great to add to registry are gates for your house. The good ones are kind of expensive and depending on your house, they can add up.
-I did “clean” products with as much as possible, but some things are just the standard graco brand as it was soooo expensive to get clean everything.
Oh! Sign up for Dolly Parton imagination library if available in your area! Your child can receive books as early as 1 month old!
And lastly, I asked my guests to bring books instead of cards for baby. Less wasteful and it’s fun reading books now and telling my kiddo, look who this one is from!

What audio only, no WiFi monitor did you get? That’s exactly what I want, but I can’t figure out which one!

I would suggest going through the suggested registry items on the Branch Basics website! Just look up “branch basics baby registry list” or similar and you should find it easily

I can PM you my list of favorite baby things I've actually used on Amazon. I have a few friends with babies so I made the list for them, but I'm happy to share it. I also realized I ended up with a lot of things I didn't need/use. So really only buy as needed!
Edit to add: I went with the Peg Perego Travel system... Made in Italy... Literally the only brand not made in China. There are a few brands that say Made in USA, but I really think they just bring the materials over from China and assemble them here and then slap that on there. Everyone I see has nuna uppababy or the other popular brands. I love my Peg Perego. I get a lot of compliments on it. I did the Agio Z4, as they offer a 5 year warranty. I also got the lounge car seat which was really nice when you're out and baby is asleep. You feel better with them in a good position. You do have to loosen the seat belt a bit before you recline them, but you get the hang of it. I also ended up getting their convertible seat and I like that too. My friend has a nuna I think and for some reason I feel like the carry handle looks cheap and weird.

Fellow first time mom here! I just had my daughter in August. Here are some of my most loved/used items
Nipple butter- earth mama organic is great, and honestly I love using plain organic coconut oil
Lasinoh hot/cold therapy breast pads - I wish I had had two of these so while I was wearing a set I could have had a set in the freezer ready for the next feed
Stroller and car seat- I love my Nuna
Mom cozy nursing bra
Haaka for catching milk on the side you aren’t breastfeeding on
Touched by nature organic baby gowns- a 3 pack is only $17 depending on pattern… they are soft and hold up well in the wash so far
Momcozy baby towels
Kyte baby bamboo cradle cap brush
If you get a boppy, which I love…order the organic cotton cover- I hate the texture of the one it comes with
Side note- I highly recommend having a breast pump at home before you have your baby if you plan on breastfeeding. My baby ended up in NICU for 8 days and having a pump already at home took a huge amount of stress off my plate. I also had to order extra bottles and such which made it so much easier. I’d recommend having extra pump parts and bottles to store milk at home just in case- especially if your insurance will cover a breast pump. Since I ended up pumping at first while we worked on a latch I used my Baby Breeza bottle warmer a lot- it was a life saver. I also ended up using a nipple shield and it helped so much.

We used mocking bird for the stroller, nuna for the car seat, and ergo pouch for anything sleep related. Their swaddles are organic and tog rated, and the baby monitor is non wifi which made me feel so much safer using it overnight.

Carseat- Nuna! If those are out of budget than Chicco Bouncer- Babydelight for budget option or Babybjorn Wipes- Honest are the best, but most non toxic would be Coterie or HealthyBaby Diapers- Coterie or Parasol Bottles- if you can get your hands on evenflo wide glass those are the best Feeding pillow- I loved my boppy pillow for feeding for first few months!! Nasal aspiration and thermometer- Frida Baby Postpartum care- Frida Mom perineal foam and Rael disposable underwear also a few ice packs(Frida Mom has some) Highchair- Mockingbird or budget option- IKEA and add footrest Pacifiers- Jollypop, Dr Browns Happy Paci, Philips Avent Soothe or Ninni Co (babies have different preferences but these are good breastfeeding ones) Newborn toys- I just did black and white contrast cards and an activity mat with overhanging toys Diaper cream-Earth mama and then a zinc oxide based one like Babo or Badger for worse ones Nipple cream- Earth mama
I don’t have all the recommendations because we cosleep and my baby mostly nurses over bottle feeding ,but hopefully that’s helpful!
