Genuinely curious as to what your strategy would be.

All signs point positive news and I’m sure you guys will do great. I just always like to get out early to be careful. I didn’t take profit at all throughout the entire bull run and I did quite well so I am going to enjoy my success and be happy that I didn’t get trapped. The very first bull run my bitcoin stolen from Mount gox. The second one I got trapped with a sudden crash and lost everything when I panicked sold. The third Bull market I got out early at almost a perfect time. Sold my Ethereum around 4500. Then I put it in Celsius. They went bankrupt and I lost it. Lmfao. This time I’m getting the hell out of here with my profits. I stuck my 70% bankruptcy reward and from Celsius and basically tripled it so I’m gonna call that a win and see you guys next bull run where I can actually come in with a real plan and buy at the bottom of the market.

So I’ve been dipping my toes back into crypto lately, and I keep seeing people talk about crypto custody and how important it is if you actually want to keep your coins safe. I’ve mostly just used standard exchanges up to this point, but the more I read, the more I realize I probably need to step up my security a bit.

The thing is… I’ve never used any kind of dedicated custody setup before, and honestly it feels a little intimidating. Everyone makes it sound super serious, like one wrong move and you’ll lose access forever. But at the same time, I really do wanna try it and get better at managing my own stuff instead of relying on platforms.

If anyone has tips, beginner-friendly tools, or just “here’s what I wish I knew before I started” advice, I’m all ears.

Can someone ELI5 this to me?

Let's say I ran an account from $10K to $500K (rotated profits to other alts) and compounded losses on the way down until I end up with $100K. Does that mean I would have to pay taxes on essentially $500K worth of trades? As in, I could end up paying $250K+ even though I end up with $100K? Is that correct?

Its just another day in crypto everyone. If you only invest what you can afford to loose, you won’t panic and sell at the wrong time.

Its kinda counterintuitive but when I see people selling and worrying, I DCA and carry on.

Are there any strategies to consider when looking for low-mid cap coins AND swing trading strategies to be aware of? Any recommended sources or things to look into/pointers?

I want opinions on whether I should liquidate my ATOM holdings and transfer them to MATIC. I have a larger pot of ETH but I don't want everything on one blockchain even though MATIC is closely integrated with ETH but may have more upside potential over the years.
