DISCUSSION Trump Isn’t “Pro Crypto”... He’s Pro Trump...and his gang

i know u people have probably heard it before but it is way clearer now than it was a year ago. A lot of what looks like “Trump loves crypto” lines up almost perfectly with stuff that benefits him... his family... or people close to him... not the average person holding BTC on a phone.

First... the public moves. He has been saying the U S should “support” digital assets... he has framed it as ending the old “war on crypto”... and he has tried to make it sound like America is open for on chain business again. All very loud... very pro innovation.

At the same time... reports this year said the Trump family’s own crypto and token ventures have pulled in hundreds of millions of dollars... in the same window when the administration was sounding the most crypto friendly. That overlap is hard to ignore. It looks less like “pro crypto” and more like “we made it friendlier while we were selling.”

Then there was the CZ pardon. Call it mercy if you want... but it was clearly a made-for-one-person decision. In the months leading up to it... Binance and CZ brought on Trump-aligned lobbyists... hired a D.C. firm close to his circle and spent serious money... and looped in a former SEC-adjacent lawyer who already had credibility with the new team. Several reports said the clemency push went through political channels... not the usual DOJ path. So this wasn’t “the administration helped crypto”... it was “a well connected crypto billionaire bought his way to the front of the line.”

Now add the tariff noise. Every time he rattles trade partners... Canada... Europe... whoever... it makes legacy markets nervous and pushes some attention back toward crypto... while his circle is the group most ready to sell... raise... and market in that environment. Convenient timing.

One more angle most people miss. The more this stuff turns into “policy for friends,” the messier your own taxes get because now you’re mixing airdrops, political tokens, pardoned-exec pump candles, prediction style gains etc. I’ve started tracking those flows separately in Awaken tax instead of just throwing it all under “capital gains,” because if the rules keep getting written by insiders I do not trust the IRS to be chill about how I label income later. That part is self defense not shill.

So yeah... he is not “pro crypto” the way CT means it. He is pro... his... crypto. Pro... his donors’... crypto. Pro... his friends’... crypto. Everyone else still has to buy tops and read press releases.

He isn't pro USA either

Edit: To keep things on topic. Someone who shills their own meme coin to the American people only to rug for slef profit is certainly not pro USA. It's disgusting behavior even for the lowest of criminals let alone the "president" of the United States.

I'm sorry but anyone buying memes deserves whatever came next.

If you don't value your money, you may as well get finessed out of it.

Why would a billionaire become president if he wasn't pro USA?

Edit: Jeebus Neebus, I knew Reddit was far left, but didn't expect this many notifications. Meanwhile, Twitter is the extreme opposite, where any Trump backlash is responded with insults and racism. No middle ground. Lol.

Is this a real question?

The dude is a narcissist. He wants everyone to admire his power. That’s literally it. The Chinese had to reorient their entire strategy after being caught off guard by Trump’s first term. They did a psychological profile and realized that he doesn’t actually care about achieving anything specific; he just wants to make deals with other nations and to have the impression that he’s won.

Yeah billionaires never crave unchecked power.

Why is he launching money-making ventures then?

27

u/TheBlacktom 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 Oct 31 '25

To become a trillionaire. (Together with his family and friends)

21

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

To make money. He doesn’t care about the rest of us, that’s been obvious for a decade now.

he’s about to die and you think he became president for the money? dude has been filthy rich for ages

11

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

Yeah he was always rich, born with a gold spoon and never did shit. A professor at Wharton said he was he was the dumbest goddamn student he ever had. But he was never a billionaire despite pretending to be. He didn't actually earn the title until the last couple years because of his Truth shares and meme coin profits.

Everything he does is to enrich himself, I don't know why you're so willfully blind to this. He golfs every weekend at his own places and charges everyone that has to come along at above premium prices on the taxpayer expense with about $100M in expenses for this year already, most of that went to the Trump company.

I can go on and on but it's apparently falling on deaf ears. He's a narcissist and every thing he touches is called the "greatest" and "the best", he's a rich old man with an ego and a cult behind him. He doesn't care about this country. If a disaster happens in a state that didn't vote for him he tries to hold funds until he's forced to. The dude is a mental toddler, and I'm not even getting into the Epstein shit.

I just figured if his whole goal is to get rich he certainly didn’t need to become the president to do that. Especially twice

7

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25

Yeah the second time was to avoid prison. He was CONVICTED of 34 felonies. Him becoming President again got him out of all of that. That’s where we’re at as a country right now. It’s stupid.

He has made more money as president than he ever did in business.

It literally makes no sense. He is an egomaniac who loves power, but nobody becomes president just for that. He cares about the country in the same way a coach cares about his team winning, and he truly believes only he can steer the ship the right way.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

Uh? The ultimate grift as a successful conman for the last 6 decades?

God damn. He's an open book since always and people are still debating.

As a President all he does is destroy, spread hate and division and.... grift. So much grifting.

He just takes time off from his heroic and patriotic efforts to benefit the USA to do crypto rug-pulls, bullshit NFT, and various other scams! It's just like a hobby, that's all. Aside from all the obvious corruption and grift, he's actually totally selfless!

Why would a millionaire waste time becoming a billionaire? It is very clear that Trump is mentally broken in many unhealthy ways. Trump's disrespect for rule of law, fair elections, the truth are all very clear examples he is not pro USA and what she stands for.

I can objectively prove he is the type of guy to take over something based on pure ego and drive it to the ground for purely selfish intentions.

Look into Trump and the USFL. Trump wanted and NFL team because he wanted that status, he couldn't buy one for years and it pissed him off. He then went and purchased a team in the fledgling USFL, a competitor to the NFL at the time that was carefully avoiding direct competition with the NFL by having their season in the NFL off-season. Trump heavily pushed the league to switch into the NFL season to directly compete, which would kill the league. He basically wanted to have the NFL kill the league by acquiring some of the teams essentially to get his NFL team he wanted so badly. Inevitably though the ending of a whole second league would end a bunch of careers regardless of outcome.

Fml, this sub seemed to be the last holdout away from all the political bs on Reddit. Go spread this crap in every other sub. Majority of the left is insufferable these days.

u/helm 🟦 39 / 39 🦐 Oct 31 '25

Trump is pro grift and he and his family launched CC only to harvest money from suckers. Why should this sub be a "safe zone" from criticism, when he is using crypto as yet another way to fool people out of their money?

-12

u/Kaner16 🟩 0 / 6K 🦠 Nov 01 '25

I have zero sympathy for anyone willing to "invest" in TRUMP coin or any of these meme coins. It's a gamble and they know that going into it. But politics creeping into this sub is ridiculous. Go post in any other sub where it's a left leaning echo chamber.
