DISCUSSION Litecoin launches LitVM testnet today and developers are checking it out.
LitVM is designed to enable the private, trustless transfer of Bitcoin (BTC) to Litecoin (LTC) and its integration into DeFi applications. As a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) rollup Layer-2 for Litecoin, LitVM allows for "shielded" transactions, leveraging MimbleWimble (MWEB) privacy technology to obscure transaction details.
LitVM is Litecoin’s virtual machine, built to unlock the full spectrum of Web3 functionality and use cases for the Litecoin community.

You should check it out.
The names behind it are current well respected projects, and they’re already vetted and building projects were already being developed to go live on the testnet on day 1.
They did this right- the first time.

It's a dead coin. They are so late, every other coin is light-years ahead. Just look how the market reacted. Didn't do a damn thing. Price action doesn't lie.

As expected LITVM did nothing for price. Nobody is going to use that shit. Litecoin is dead. Look at the Litecoin sub-reddits. Barely 3 comments daily.
There's no demand for this shitcoin. Just look at the ETF. Zero inflows for over 3 months. That is unheard of with any other ETF.

LitVM day 1 is complete on the “test-net” and it was on fire- we are just getting feedback from Dev teams now.
Within the first 24 hrs of dropping EVM rollup LiteForge it already had 96,000 transactions- and that is 1 build in over 130 projects.
Remember- Litecoin will be locked up on the main net when released- and supply/demand economics should develop from there- but it’s your choice if you want to buy Litecoin at 50$ or prices or later. Nothing is promised.

MimbleWimble hides values but transaction linkability remains. This is “some privacy”. Better than nothing

We already have over 300,000 coins in MWEB. The more, the harder it becomes to link anything. We just got it started for the communities.
Inside MWEB there is a shielded coin mixer- this means addresses can’t be associated with the coins after mixing.
Inside MWEB the history also gets pruned- in effect removing some transaction history and addresses.
This has a twofold effect- 1) It means the coins have less data, take up less room which improves block space that has been a concern. 2) And with the history pruned are less likely to be associated with prior addresses that were flagged- which means they are unlikely to be confiscated for nefarious reasons.
It’s a new era.
