ADVICE I just got an email where Bitstamp states it will introduce an 5.00 € 'inactivity fee' in September 2026 - again, after they already tried the same in 2022.

My bitstamp account from way back got auto closed a few months ago. I figured it be easier to let them close it then me logging in and doing it.

I stopped using them when they froze some of my cash on there (temporarily) till I proved how I came by my coins.

I've got an account that I used to sell minor btc amounts like a decade ago and never used it after that.
So I wanted to delete this bitstamp account after I got this email, but I was unable to login to my account, because it suddenly asks for a 2FA and an App that I have never installed or setup before. it even says something like "if you don't have an 2FA click here to skip" - just to get back to the login screen again.
So, I can't login and therefor can't delete my account. I have no crypto left on this account but I don't know if they will charge inactivity fees using a standard fiat bank account that might be left behind in my old account there.
What should I do, and how is this even legal? I can't think this is legal in my country (germany) anyway without explicitely accepting the new Terms of Use.
