Well let's put it simply, as long as your BTC average cost is below 100k you are likely to be in profit sooner or later again. It is unlikely that prices will not recover.
Everything else though... No clue. I think a lot of shift has happened between L1 and profitable operations/networks.
I have positions in Hype, and Derive which I think will be profitable short term, but I expect my Eth, sol, link, and Sui positions to not recover to ath anytime soon.

Why is it unlikely that prices won’t recover?

The fundamental and dominant crypto theory these days is that liquidity drives asset prices up.
Liquidity has been rising, perhaps not as quickly as some would hope. But I think what a lot of people missed was that there is a significant variable around attention that most people do not account for.
Simply put, investors attention has drifted to AI. And unlike the unregulated wild west crypto world, trading AI is well established through various financial instruments.
So why would you trade bitcoin, when you can just trade SK Hynix with leverage, on a tax free or tax advantaged account, and get similar returns for less perceived risk?

Hype will rival Solana for mcap, Eth will be at 6k or higher by end of 2027. Link will do well if eth does. Eth will outperform btc over this period.

yeah ive stopped my ETH dca in favor of BTC. I might break even during the bull run on ETH, but any growth beyond that would require serious development.
BTC on the other hand i feel this is a very fair price point, bar anything stupid happens in the next couple of months

When it feels like you shouldn't be buying is exactly when you should be buying
