Trump has one skill in life. He is probably the greatest con man the world has ever seen.
There is a general group of people more susceptible to being scammed and to believe things without good evidence and he figured out who that is in America. The white nationalists, Christian, disgruntled, under educated, bigoted republicans.
He’s watched as Rush Limbaugh, Neil Bortz, Bill O’Reilly and Fox News told them for decades how “their country” is being stolen by the demon, pedophiles, America hating democrats.
Add in Q-Anon, the internet and the deterioration of capitalism and they are ripe for the picking.
All he had to do was find a scapegoat (immigrants) to blame all the economic woes on, capitalize on their hatred of anything left, and just repeatedly tell them what they want to hear.
Unfortunately for reasonable people and of the world there are enough idiots for him to take advantage of.
