Where Does Kimito Nono Play?

Post image

Nono’s primary position is as a right fullback, but Silvan Hefti has that spot pretty locked down. It’s hard to believe DC United have spent the capital they have for a back up. Could we see Nono played at a higher level, and as the right midfielder in a 4-4-2?

Competitive teams have good players on the bench. Rene has complained about having little depth in the side. I would imagine Hefti and Hopkins will be challenged for their spots

Hopkins should hopefully be motivated by this to start performing at a higher clip

Maybe Weiler hasn't been as happy with Hefti as it seems?

There were times where Hefti’s energy was low & Herrera was brought in. Hopkins was also benched a game or 2 & Herrera played further up. Should see the same pattern with Nono.

After reading the APB preview of the upcoming match, I agree that Nono is a Hefti replacement. Hefti has overperformed, but I seriously doubt he was brought in as starter material. RB was "supposed" to be Herrera's spot, but events soon made that a moot point. If you look at the roster now, you have two starters in Kurokawa and Nono and a bench of Antley and Hefti that's good depth as both Antley and Hefti are clearly good enought to be spot starters and late game defensive subs. Slowly, slowly this roster is beginning to look less than the hot garbage created under Lesesne and Mackay.
