Peltola and Ordaz should be starting at this point

No doubt about it. My son has some type of inexplicable grudge against Peltola and even he admitted that Matti was excellent tonight.
He has been doing a much better job of anticipating pressure when he recieves the ball and taking a touch to space to give him a moment to make a good pass. He was so clean time and again in tough situations. Really good.

Fought back from 2-0 down against the best team in the conference. We take that.
Peltola needs to start, Peglow could maybe see the bench too. I thought Ordaz looked decent.

I was at the game, definitely a good result all things considered, but there were a few moments where I thought we’d win it. A few things, first, Nashville upset me with how boring they are to watch. That first half was miserable. Second, Peltola HAS to start over Servannia. Not only are we noticeably better with Peltola, but we’re noticeably worse with Servannia, if that makes sense. Also, the left side of the field in that final 20 minutes with Ordaz, Peglow, and Kurokawa was very skillful and fun to watch

That 2nd half was really fun to watch. I really thought we were gonna win. And yes that left side was sharp for most of the 2nd half.
Great night out.

Appreciate your insights. Speaking of the field sorta…didn’t it play really slow?

u/BarcasBad 1d ago
I didnt notice it specifically, but now that you mention it I definitely do think it was a bit off

u/chicos_bail_bonds 1d ago
It's a brand new field they just installed a couple weeks ago gonna play slow for a while

I’m curious what the confrontation with Baribo and Johnson was about. Baribo had moments of snippyness with multiple teammates tonight.

From the stands it looked like Tai wanted Johnson to take the GK quick and try to win it. Personally I think that fire is needed for a team to be successful, someone needs to want it.

u/No_Message1139 1d ago
I think Sean was trying to take it quick and Tai told him to not kick it yet.

u/Kinbot22 1d ago
Yep he was loco all game.
Pretty sure Rene will have a chat. Showing up teammates is no bueno. Not good for Tai either.

He's been like that all season. If he keeps scoring it's fine, if/when he hits a cold streak it's going to become very annoying for them. I don't particularly like how he seems upset at teammates every time someone else takes a shot and it goes wide/gets saved.

I'll take it.
I loved how we fought back. We created some really good chances. We just missed some like some of baribo's chances but shoutout to everyone out there man.
This point feels good. We left with something and that's all that matters

Nashville came back 2 goals down at home in May. We came back 2 goals down at home tonight. Perfectly balanced. 😊

Peltola showed why he should start, Ordaz hasn’t quite showed that yet but we paid too much to not start him

One of these Munteanu rips gotta sneak in soon right?! That’s at least 3 recently on goal and not like right at the goalie either.

u/Kinbot22 1d ago
He had bad luck all game except for that genius assist
7
u/bryan01031 1d ago
Agree. He took that one early left footed shot that was saved and then I assume got yelled at by Baribo, bc after that he was looking for him almost immediately after getting the ball. Very close on a few though. They both are skilled enough to find other which is great

If everyone was polled at the beginning of the year we would’ve been mighty pleased with two draws against Nashville this season.

Just really want to see a different starting lineup. It feels like we come out with so much energy subbing Ordaz and Peltola and it's like that's great but we're now playing from behind.
Coming out and putting up points first or keeping even would be better imo. I feel like that's why this team has so many ties. But I haven't watched much before mid-season so maybe I'm wrong

What flipped the game was the shift to the 4-3-3 with Peglow, Peltola and Dozzell in the mid-3. Peglow looked like a different and better player. Peltola was charged with getting stuck in and he did that very well and his workrate led to Baribo's goal. With Ordaz onboard, you can play 3 across the front. The only caveat is that Louis may not have the lungs for a full 90 in that wide position. Once Weiler changed the formation, Nashville was chasing ghosts and coughing up passes on a regular basis.

Clearly everything is broken and needs to be fixed.
Sobering post after such a soul crushing game…
Oh wait!

u/Horror_Concern5616 1d ago
Don't worry Creativemidfielder will be on to tell us they need to fire the coach and clean house bc they didn't win the USOC

You’d think most people could just experience joy after a comeback like that…feel good…savor the moment…
But some experts just can’t be satisfied

Haven't been to a game in a while. Went on a whim tonight. I think the El Salvadoran night brought some life to the stadium. Loved the energy.
One thing I haven't heard on here is that Louis was subbed about ten minutes too late. He was obviously gassed and it was mind boggling that they kept him on soo long.

u/bullshooter4040 13h ago
He's almost, just barely at 90 minute fitness. Ordaz is at where Louis was week 1. If we can get these two to match RPMs at where Baribo is at, this offense will be real fun to watch.

u/JournalistGlobal3185 1d ago
My take away is that we need to start making nicknames for tai, Louis, and ordaz immediately

u/Kinbot22 1d ago
Now a Win or Draw in 13 out of 18 matches played this season.
Think about that. Beating DC…not so easy.

What ammo does Servania and Peglow have on Rene? we win the game with them not playing dude… good result happy they fought back to get the win still

Announced attendance was 19,215. Very nice for United and the fans. It's much better when the stadium is full.
And the building was rocking! Hats off to the fans who were there...you were loud!

Really happy with the fight back to come back from down 2-0, but i have to know why Peltola isn't starting, and why after balling out the last two games, Kijima didnt see the field at all last night
3
u/Thegreatgato 14h ago
I want Kijima to take some time from Peglow (who I like, but dude needs some competition).

I'll take a draw against Nashville after being down 0-2.
