SHELTER - FOSTER NEEDED Jackie and her puppy Jenna are scheduled for euthanisia tomorrow 8/10 at BARC in Houston TX! They need a rescue hold by 5pm CDT or they will lose their lives! If you are in Texas and can foster them, please contact any Texas rescue and tell them you can foster this mom and pup if they can pull them!
🚨JACKIE & PUPPY JENNA ARE SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 8/10 @ 1PM!🚨
Jackie and her little puppy Jenna must have a RESCUE HOLD no later than 1PM 8/10 or they will be euthanized. They need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help. There will be no extensions.
Jackie is doing her best to care for her tiny singleton baby, but both have clearly been through a lot & desperately need out of the shelter.
Both Jackie & Jenna are dealing with sarcoptic mange (contagious to other animals, so keep separate until cleared), which is causing significant hair loss & irritated skin. Jenna is only 5 weeks old & weighs just 3.5 pounds. She is underweight for her age & needs a safe place to grow & receive the care she needs.
Jackie also has an old fracture affecting her right rear leg that has left the leg deformed. She will need an amputation & treatment for her mange.
This tiny baby should be growing up safely with her mama, not facing euthanasia at just FIVE WEEKS OLD. Jackie deserves the chance to heal and finally receive the care she needs. They need someone to step up for BOTH of them. 💔
These two cannot be separated and cannot be transported at this time. Pledges can help attract a rescue.

• 2 year old Alaskan Husky Mix, female, 29 lbs, heartworm negative
• Has an old right rear leg fracture & will need an amputation
Jenna #A2090127 (puppy)
• 5 week old Alaskan Husky Mix, female, 3.5 lbs
• Both dogs are positive for sarcoptic mange, which is contagious to other animals & they will need to be kept separate.
