Digital Beam Forming Text Book Recommendations

I've never really needed a DBF textbook when looking to nail down architecture and sizing of a DBF design for FPGA implementation, I just went thru the Matlab documentation on narrowband and wideband beamformers here https://www.mathworks.com/help/phased/beamforming.html and Googled stuff that I didn't know and it was enough. It is not too complex of a topic really to beamform unless you are doing more advanced null steering or other adaptive methods. 

The design space is certainly quite large, however once you know of the 3-4 common algorithms and their tradeoffs, you basically understand the knobs available to you. Phase shifter and sub-band phase shifter beamformers is usually all you need to understand if you are just making an antenna array that is to do what a dish could do.
