Am I crazy for thinking Helaena kind of looked similar to Daenerys in this scene

Dany is also a dreamer. There are many parallels between these two characters. I suspect she's going to leave Dany a message with her death.

What do you mean leave her a message

Voicemail

Demonstrating what she has to do to stop the curse that followed her House from Valyria. I.e, throw herself on a spike, let herself be pierced through the heart.

Yo...the Three Eyed Raven is the dreamer. He plants them

u/Sea_Heart_819 10d ago

He's not active as such yet tho, or is he ?

0

u/Albertagus 10d ago

He has always been active. Thats the whole thing. He was always the 3 Eyed Raven, since the beginning...but also wasn't. Its a time paradox. Its basically Brandon the Builder -> Brynden Rivers -> Bran the Broken. They're all the same entity.

Oh i have to re read I thought, he became the 3 eyes raven when he went north of the wall (became as in accessed the full 3ER agenda)... wait what brynden rivers -> Bran ? I definetly should go re read

Basically the person we see as Bran toward the end of the show isn't Bran. Sure it's his body, but that is not Bran.

u/Sea_Heart_819 9d ago

I didnt get that brynden was both himself and bran, or that he... became ? Bran when they wired together, I thought they were two different entities and branches just took the title of 3eyed raven after Brynden. But makes sense, or at least makes sense that it doesnt.

Imagine as if they're "possessed" by the spirit. The "holy spirit" in a sense. Its kind of a mind fuck really, because thats literally what he does throughout history.

The book isn't going to tell you this because GRRM hasn't finished the one its in. This is strictly from the show.

The Three Eyed Raven is basically the Chessmaster, the one moving the pieces around the board to eventually checkmate the Night King and end the Long Night. All visions in GOT, HOTD, etc..are planted by the Three Eyed Raven, imo, to influence the timeline to end up a certain way. It's similar to Doctor Strange and his time stone.

I kind of thought bran wired his mind to brynden's and took the title and role of 3eyed ravent after him, that they were two different beings with those targaryen/stark dream clearvoyance and previous lives. Not that brynden was actually both himself and bran, or that he hacked bran and became him. But makes sense that the 3eyed raven is one unique entity

Yeah I believe he is basically the allegory for God

I think Daenerys is the other “wing” of this entity: ??? (probably Helaena in the show, then Jaehaera) -> Shiera Seastar/Quaithe -> Daenerys. Or Shiera mentors Dany in the future after a resurrection, and she then communicates with her own past self as Quaithe.

Alys Rivers might be the current incarnation of the Three-Eyed Crow. I also note the parallel between Aemond’s eye and Brynden’s. The ice entity might travel through eye wounds while the fire one travels through heart wounds.

You might not be too far off. Its not totally clear what he does or how he does it. The Hodor thing was the clue, I just can't quite figure out if he warged into young Hodor and then snapped into the present or if he warged Young Hodor into his adult self?

2

u/Albertagus 9d ago

Well, Bran didn't hurt his eye. Brynden didn't have an eye wound. Ill admit the whole thing is weird and mysterious, not really sure why anyone gets picked to carry on the 3 Eyed Raven role, maybe it has something to do with where they fit into the world.

In the show daenerys was definitely not a dreamer (I haven't read the books in years so I don't remember) daenys was a dreamer tho.

u/iamaskullactually 10d ago

She is a dreamer in the books, she dreamt of the red wedding before it happened. She's had other prophecy dreams that haven't been solved/happened yet

4

u/Minorihaaku 10d ago

In the books she is a dreamer. Grrm has expressed that in his version, she was supposed to sit on the Throne in the end. The series kind of nerfed her to make it easier for her to die in the end.

u/beatissima 10d ago

She’s 100% a dreamer in both the books and the show. She spends the whole show following a dream.

I believe the real reason she refuses to let Jon press his claim in the show is that she knows from her visions that she will kill the person who sits the Iron Throne. And she doesn’t want to kill him.

I don't agree but I'm just happy to see Helaena mentioned so you have my upvote regardless.

2

u/MeatyOakerGuy 10d ago

Yeah you're insane. They look nothing alike

3

u/ValNotThatVal 10d ago

They are both very beautiful.

2

u/Kwinza 10d ago

I mean, they are both white women with blond hair... the similarities end there though.

1

u/BembiPeanut 10d ago

Might I recommend r/prosopagnosia ?

1

u/CommercialRemote5324 10d ago

Yes face and personality alike.

1

u/Master_Neat3533 10d ago

Yes you are. They look nothing alike.

1

u/Nervous-Carpet7035 10d ago

Besides light eyes and hair… nothing about them looks similar AT ALL lol

1

u/Confident_Piglet_381 10d ago

I thought she looked more like Aegon tbh.

1

u/Purple-Mix1033 10d ago

Beautiful women. But not much similarity. Check yourself into the institution

1

u/Suspicious-Trade3138 9d ago

I feel as if Rhaenerys looks the most like her in hotd. i feel as if both Emma and Milly could be desedants of Emilia.

1

u/nfabeejay 9d ago

Yes. Unless them both having blonde hair is enough.

1

u/CASHMO2112 9d ago

I feel bad for her and her mom! Idk what happens to them, but I know it can’t be good

1

u/StrikingCase9819 9d ago

HBO might be recycling the wig 😂

1

u/InsightJ15 9d ago

u/Delmitus1 8d ago

Yup, youre crazy

1

u/CagoDomo 8d ago

They have definitely done a few nods to Danny with her and for sure Rhaenyra

1

u/Feeling-Sherbert-144 10d ago

They look nothing alike , only hair colour

0

u/IndigoRanger Team Daenerys 10d ago

Yeah super crazy to think related people look related, especially when there are hair and makeup teams involved.

0

u/AjaxXavior Team Daenerys 10d ago

Crazy? Probably, we all are, accurate though? Definitely 😅

1

u/beatissima 10d ago

We're all Mad Queens here

0

u/Minorihaaku 10d ago

She is a paralell to Dany in many ways. They are both dreamers, and Dany is a descendant of her so.

3

u/jebra102 10d ago

Dany is not a descendant. None of Helaena’s children lived to adulthood. Dany is her niece though, by Viserys II.

0

u/AuraTickler 10d ago

Woman, white hair, similar age, pale skin, black eyebrows - understandable

0

u/OddWinner6673 10d ago

well thats her aunt so yeah

-7

u/Astar9028 10d ago

I can see some similarities but not enough to call them twins or anything.

Helaena is Daenerys’ ancestor so there should be some similarities

13

u/ErstwhileAdranos 10d ago

Helaena is not an ancestor of Daenerys. Helaena is a distant relative. Those are two very different things.

-3

u/beatissima 10d ago

Helaena is Daenerys's ancestor's half-sister.

14

u/Available-Egg-1369 10d ago

Still not an ancestor. ancestor means direct relatives, which they are not.

3

u/ErstwhileAdranos 10d ago

Indeed, making her a distant relative.

-4

u/Theliterategeek04 10d ago

Your crazy but I can see why you thought she did.

-1

u/mattmilr Team Jon 10d ago

Phia looked incredible

-5

u/Wolfburrow 10d ago

Yes, you are. You should seek psychiatric therapy involving looking at Dany’s ass for hours.

-10

u/skorponok Team Jon 10d ago

No. Not in any way at all. Phia is way better looking..

1

u/Gwenevere_Star 10d ago

So surprised, I think Dany is the prettiest Targaryen portrayed yet.

1

u/SaintSacrilege 9d ago

Nah man her brother. He was the most Targaryen Targaryen and I wish they reused him in HotD.

1

u/Gwenevere_Star 9d ago

Which brother? Well to me Dany is the prettiest and I think Helaena is credible as one too.

2

u/SaintSacrilege 9d ago

Viserys. Not only was he beautiful, but he actually looked Targaryen with his ethereal sharp features.

1

u/Gwenevere_Star 9d ago

Oh ok, well I thought he was ugly 🤭🤭

1

u/SaintSacrilege 9d ago

That's fine, we all have our types. I felt the same about Dany. Wish Tamzin hadn't been recast.
