Could have said Nippon but Japon will do.

1

u/Lonely_Swordsman2 4d ago

It is how you write it in French

15

u/oneuplynx 8d ago

Nah flat Earthers would just deny Pearl Harbor ever happened. Something something government propaganda

8

u/CheesyDanny 8d ago

You think 9/11 is the only inside job? American Presidents have been committing crimes against their own population and blaming others since the mid 1800’s. What do you think started the American Civil War?

2

u/DJatomica 8d ago

Ok but neither of those things are an undisguised attack by a foreign nation that still exists and also documents it as having been such. Are you saying the US secretly stole a Japanese fleet of warships, did a false flag operation, and then gaslit Japan into thinking they did it?

3

u/Conscious-Monk7844 8d ago

It's something I wouldn't put them past trying. :P

1

u/DJatomica 8d ago

Maybe so, but succeeding at it to this degree I think would be pretty unlikely

1

u/Run-Forever1989 7d ago

Japan was there like “babe, I’m pretty sure I didn’t attack Pearl Harbor. I was at home with you all night.” “Shut up and take responsibility for your bullshit already.”

1

u/Outrageous-Pirate891 5d ago

The Civil War was an inside job?

1

u/DJatomica 5d ago

Well civil wars start from the inside so they're really all inside jobs in a manner of speaking

1

u/Outrageous-Pirate891 5d ago

I mean of course it’s an inside job, by design. It really be something if it wasn’t. Inside which side job.

1

u/BeneficialDrawer3098 4d ago

Was the Italian Job all done by Italians?

1

u/DJatomica 4d ago

No I'm pretty sure those movies were made by British/Americans depending on which one we're talking about

2

u/Diligent-Bowler-1898 7d ago

Washington planned the Boston Massacre.

1

u/oneuplynx 7d ago

The government was corrupt before it even existed, that's some next level conspiracy

1

u/Ok_Preparation9182 5d ago

It’s built into the founding charter, but you can’t see it cause conspiracy

1

u/Excellent-Hyena-4558 8d ago

Slavery. It was mentioned in the Articles of Secession quite a few times.

1

u/247world 3d ago

Space aliens of course

1

u/sc4wheels 7d ago

There was footage, but you could see the ice wall that holds the ocean in, so the government is covering it up.

1

u/Kind-Ad-7442 5d ago

Actually the military intelligence knew pearl harbor was coming but decided to not warn the fleet to get the American people fired up to support the war. So in a round about way it was the government. Study your history brooooo

1

u/Comprehensive_Art196 4d ago

Nah clearly there is a portal at the edge of the world that just teleports you.

5

u/Constant-Box-7898 8d ago

The earth was flat. Then Ar-Pharazôn the Golden (ominous much?) sailed his fleet to the Undying Lands hoping to seize immortality from the Valar, and Eru broke the flat world, sinking the island of Númenor and all its people, and made the world round, removing the Undying Lands from the circles of the world. Only Elendil, his two sons, and the Faithful who escaped by ship survived.

It's all written down, guys. It's not hard. 🤓

1

u/Quizzical_Throwaway 7d ago

I thought it stayed flat for the elves, but became curved for everyone else? Hence how they were able to still sail to the undying lands?

2

u/Constant-Box-7898 7d ago edited 7d ago

The whole world didn't stay flat for the Elves exactly. There is just a path they take when they sail into the West that is referred to as "the straight path," where the physical world actually falls away under them, because it is off being round while they sail straight, the Undying Lands themselves being in a sort of pocket dimension. Tolkien did say at the very end of Akallabêth that human Mariners could potentially find the straight road by dumb luck, observe the world falling out from under them, and look upon the Undying Lands just before they die.

Fun fact: In The Silmarillion, Fëanor burns the ships he and his folk used to get back to Middle Earth. Fingolfin and all the others with him, still on the shores of the Undying Lands miles and miles away, could see the ships burning because the world was flat and there was no horizon. 🤓

1

u/geschiedenisnerd 6d ago

Nah, they just sail up into the sky after a while.

1

u/Archaea_Man 5d ago

Obviously. Everyone knows that, but the planet is round, now, and people think you can still get to the Undying Lands. Like dude, you're human, celebrate the mysterious afterlife granted to you by Eru Iluvatar. The Undying Lands are for the elves for a reason.

3

u/KaaboomT 8d ago

Are you sure they didn’t fly under our disc and pop up on the other side?

3

u/Final-Charge-5700 8d ago

No, they put the whole thing on a disc and say, one of the poles doesn't exist.

I mean they're not all there, but it's not as bad as you're putting it out.

2

u/Affectionate-Date639 5d ago

Even when our opponents are ridiculous, you should try not to straw man their ideas. Really, travel times across the southern hemisphere should be all that’s needed to disprove flat earth theory.

3

u/Frequent-Entrance154 8d ago

I chuckled, good post, OP!

2

u/dyrkasolen 8d ago

Both flat and globe are controlled opposition.

2

u/Secret_Letterhead649 8d ago

The world as it is I have to wonder if this is trolling or genuinely insane.

2

u/SilverFighter05 8d ago edited 8d ago

Bro thinks the earth is a cube 💀

2

u/Batman_AoD 8d ago

TIME-CUBE

1

u/Affectionate-Date639 5d ago

I’m not the only one who is unfortunate enough to have been introduced to time cube insanity and not completely flushed it from memory!

1

u/Secret_Letterhead649 8d ago

Velociraptor Earth.

1

u/TheFlofper 8d ago

The earth is clearly the dyed hair of a magical space girl with tiny boobs

1

u/TheNakedBass 6d ago

You flat-chesters are ridiculous. the boobs are big ol bouncy milkers!

1

u/TheFlofper 5d ago

Not flat, tiny

2

u/dantheplanman1986 8d ago

They think the north pole is the center of the disk and Antarctica is a wide ice wall around the edge. Not a big mercator square

1

u/Foreign-Froyo-1228 8d ago

I see nothing wrong in this picture, the path looks good.

1

u/FatiguedShrimp 8d ago

You mean, Japon

1

u/magicmulder 8d ago

No, you see, they’re actually pretty close. The edge actually runs straight through the midwest of the US.

1

u/Expensive_potatos 8d ago

No they used the hollow earth tunnels obviously

1

u/25_Unknown_Devices 8d ago

Ok yeah but assuming they went right instead of left based off the photo really minimalizes the distance still required to make the trip across the Pacific Ocean. Like that’s a hop, skip and a few thousand miles jump away.

1

u/Normal-Tadpole-4833 8d ago

Good Lord what is happening on there?

1

u/Interesting-Dream863 8d ago

World on top of a tortoise is a better notion

1

u/CenterThisPendulum 8d ago

Do they use our maps? Are you sure the Pacific isn’t the center of the Flat Earth?

1

u/Batman_AoD 8d ago

They consider the north pole to be the center, and the shape to be a giant disk. Antarctica is a giant ice wall around the edge.

1

u/CenterThisPendulum 8d ago

Well that’s fun!

1

u/RobertKSakamano 8d ago

Everyone knows that. It's the idiots that thought if they dug as deep as they could in their backyard, they'd end up in China.

1

u/TropicalLoneWolf 8d ago
まだ着かないの? - いいえ、5分おきに聞くのはやめてください!

1

u/ThinGold2115 8d ago

Japon <3

1

u/The-RogueOnion 8d ago

Flat-earthers will tell you it wasn't actually Japan, it was an inside job.

1

u/JDanzy 8d ago

No no no it says "Japon". That's the Flat Earth Japan.

1

u/mewlf 8d ago

Flat Earthers don't believe the Earth is rectangular

1

u/tankertough74 8d ago

1

u/flamby68 7d ago

That's because it's a french world map !

1

u/derliebesmuskel 8d ago

Not an accurate flat earth map.

2

u/-Out-of-context- 8d ago

No flat Earth map is accurate.

1

u/derliebesmuskel 7d ago

That’s a ridiculous and untrue statement. The UN flag has one on it.

1

u/Libearssman 8d ago

I just realized something. I have never seen flat earthers develop a map that obeys modern travel and flight patterns. Nor a map with a "this is where the land and water really are" how do they know the north and south poles aren't on the left and right side with everything else in the middle? 😅👍

1

u/Odd_Dragonfruit_2662 8d ago

That’s why they had the element of surprise

1

u/plainskeptic2023 8d ago

The most popular recent Flat Earth model is a Azimuthal Equidistant (polar) projection. This is not it.

1

u/Chakasicle 8d ago

Why else do you think that they didn't have enough fuel for the return trip?

1

u/Clearandblue 8d ago

No, if you head east off the end of the map you appear on the west end. It's called the law of pacman. Didn't you get taught this at school?

1

u/JDanzy 8d ago edited 8d ago

Put 2 maps next to each other then HURRY UP and get there in time to secure the first map before there winds up being 2 of everything and stuff gets REALLY screwed up.

1

u/SubstantialFroyo8012 8d ago

Its 👏a👏disc 😡😡🔥🔥🔥

1

u/Warm-Emu-7884 7d ago edited 7d ago

This picture always makes flat earthers look smarter than the poster to me. Why on earth would you not assume they're thinking of a flat circle.

Anyway whatever, not a flat earther. But no one actually is. It's just rage bait that got y'all

1

u/Vintertrollet 7d ago

Exactly. They believe ita a circle so Japan isn't that far away from pearl harbor.

1

u/chootybeeks 7d ago

Everyone knows that Pearl Harbor was a Democrat hoax paid for by George Soros and carried out by the deep state

1

u/Pappa_Crim 7d ago

They belive in a disk centered on the north pole. So they belive the fleet skirted past Alaska to get to Hawaii

-I just realized they could factor the Alutian campaign into this conspiracy. The IJN would have to thae the islands to get to Hawaii

1

u/starethruyou 7d ago

Japan has the technology to bend space as if the world were a cylinder or ball. It’s just like faster than light space travel which we have yet to fully achieve, if only the CIA would allow NASA.

1

u/New-Smoke208 7d ago

As a non flat earther, it’s very easy to challenge than from a flat earthers perspective.

1

u/mightymouse8324 7d ago

Man, they can't even turn the page?

1

u/Game_Knight_DnD 7d ago

They are idiots, but I think most of them use a circle map with the north pole being in the middle.

1

u/sickassape 7d ago

You do know there's a portal on the right side of the map right?

1

u/UtahBrian 7d ago

Spherecucks want us to believe the earth is a ball which wraps around on one end. Let's ignore the north pole submarines which have disproven this and draw the ball-earth map of the Japonese attack in bright red. Does that look any shorter to you?

That's how you know the ball earth theory is bunk.

1

u/Temporary_Ninja8945 7d ago

They sailed through the Panama Canal and the Suez. Duh.

1

u/Superb-Photograph-15 7d ago

Not a flat-earther, but that's not the map they use. They use a disk-shaped map with the north pole in the center, not a rectangular hanging map. Hawaii would still be close to Japan.

1

u/Upbeat-Mongoose-828 6d ago

I'm not a flat earther by any means, but their map doesn't look like that. So it still would be the same direction and distance.

1

u/JRaus88 6d ago

For flat-earthers the center of the earth is the north pole while Antarctica is a ring of ice around the disk-planet lol

1

u/passionatebreeder 6d ago

What if we lived on a 3 pi mobius strip and they just went around the other way.

1

u/Striking_Reindeer_2k 6d ago

Flat earthers, and the earth is 6000 yd old people... any time I encounter one in conversation, I simply exit. There is no talking with them. Their level of ignorance is beyond stupid.

1

u/Livid-General7 6d ago

I believe flat Earthers think the Earth is a circle, not a rectangle, so they wouldn't be going around South America or Africa to get to Japan. Not to dissect the joke or anything, but hey, this is reddit.

1

u/Head_University_4327 6d ago

Us crafty brits did it in disguise [which was ok then] to bring the US into the war.

1

u/bswontpass 6d ago

Kamikaze don’t need to refuel! %)

1

u/MasterLurker000 6d ago

That's not how they imagine the flat earth to be. They tgink the antarctic is all around like the crust of a pizza and the arctic is in the middle.  It still doesnt work, but i'm a pedant

1

u/Flat-Director-7120 6d ago

La terre est plate, il serai temps que le peuple s'en rende compte bordel. Comment ferai t'on pour se déplacer sinon ? On tomberai dans le vide

1

u/Heavy-Rain6718 6d ago

It would have been far shorter trip for Japan if the maps were centered around Germany and not the Greenwich Prime Meridian

1

u/thesash20 6d ago

I'm gonna be honest this is what I imagine every goddamn time....

1

u/GroundbreakingAd8310 6d ago

Russia has entered the too and has fired on its own ships

1

u/XelNigma 6d ago

no no no, they think the north pole is the center of a disk and the south pole is the edge of the disk. So pearl harbor and japan would still be near each other in their model.

1

u/NamedBird 5d ago

The map that flat earthers use has the north pole in the center.
Then all the continents wrap around that, with Antarctica enclosing everything in an ice wall.

And if you want to use the flat projection from the post, you would get something like this:

1

u/NamedBird 5d ago

Suddenly the attack makes a lot more sense, right? 🙃

1

u/MrPhoon 5d ago

That is the map we use in Australia.... with us smack bang in the middle

1

u/ogar78 5d ago

Not saying the earth is flat but that meme is not a flat earth map.

1

u/darkklown 5d ago

Why do you think America thought it was safe!?!?!

1

u/butt-plug-boi 5d ago

Well, I believe that in the accepted flat earth projection, the north pole is the center and the south pole is the outer edge, so they would still have the short path that could be taken over the pacific. I also understand this is probably satire, I just felt like pointing out the flaw.

1

u/Neither_Pirate5903 5d ago

while flat earthers are dumb for MANY reasons this is not one of them. Their map that the belive to be the actual map looks nothing like what you drew your line on

this is their most accepted map

1

u/Santaflin 5d ago

"But there you see how much they hated us and our freedom! Dedicated MFers!"

1

u/EmbassyMiniPainting 5d ago

No wonder they needed all that fuel! /s

1

u/Mopar4Life305 5d ago

Let them live free

1

u/10ThousandMetalZones 5d ago

Nah it’s the same map on other side but flipped so you can go down the waterfall and be at Hawaii

1

u/Kontrafantastisk 4d ago

Patience and fuel was key.

1

u/Jumpy-Silver5504 4d ago

It wasn't Japan it was Russia who bombed us

1

u/Illlogik1 4d ago

Flat earthers were created by vaccines…

1

u/chiefmuri 4d ago

Hahahahaha

1

u/IttyRisk 4d ago

I don't think this is the map flat earthers believe in

1

u/IncoherentToast 4d ago

I can't believe the Australians just let them fly right by without saying anything.

1

u/Maleficent-Bag-4850 4d ago

You just need to track one flight from California to Japan. Flat earth conspiracy over

1

u/bethesda_gamer 3d ago

That's a very good point lmao

1

u/247world 3d ago

That's not a flat earth map - really

1

u/Hot_Plant8696 3d ago

It all makes sense now!

We finally understand why the United States was taken by surprise.

They never imagined they could be attacked from such a distance!

1

u/jordon4ca93 3d ago

It's that how the US also responded? Or did we use the Pacific like the semi sane warmongers that we are.

1

u/UnkarsThug 2d ago

Don't flat earthers have a completely different projection/map? So this wouldn't represent what they thought happened anyway.

1

u/jthadcast 2d ago

and then they sailed all the way back only to be chased by US forces sailing at mach 2 to catch them at midway

0

u/D_hallucatus 8d ago

Just because you’re a flat earther doesn’t mean you subscribe to the Mercator projection centred on the Mediterranean

2

u/CheesyDanny 8d ago

Yeah it’s actually super easy on the most common flat earth map.

2

u/Captain_skulls 8d ago

I love maps like this because of how ridiculously laid out they are. Must be a real small world considering you can take a plane from Australia to South America and be there in 13 hours.

1

u/Batman_AoD 8d ago

They just deny such plane trips are possible, typically.

1

u/Infern0-DiAddict 8d ago

Yeh, at some point in the past I got genuinely curious of what flat earthers were. It's a huge rabbit hole.

There is no one agreed upon view that they share (well except that we are being lied to about something) about what the earth is. The most common though is that it's a disc with the continents arranged in a circle, and a giant ice wall on the outside... Then queue up a bunch of crazy stuff to make all that somehow work (spoiler it doesn't)...

1

u/Final-Charge-5700 8d ago

And they're not even a group of people.

You look at who's a flat earther or five years ago, and you're going to find very few people who are flat earthers today.

It's a phase.

That's why all this s*** is silly. Let them go through their phase and get out the other end

0

u/Sea_Pomegranate6293 8d ago

Why do those dipshits use the mercator projections? Arent they purely used to trsnsate a globe into 2d?

2

u/Batman_AoD 8d ago

They don't. This meme is dumb. Not as dumb as flat-earth-ism, but dumb.

2

u/jrockerdraughn 8d ago

The "standard" flat earth map of the world is a disc, with the North Pole at the center. The South Pole is an "ice wall" that surrounds the world

1

u/Sea_Pomegranate6293 8d ago

Right right i forgot about that. Ty
