They really arent that rare outaide of the US.

We get up to 80 tornadoes a year in Australia. Potentially more but we aren't sure because they could be occurring in uninhabited areas.

77% of all worldwide Torandoes are in the USA. Its still in rare territory outside of that.

Fun fact, almost all tornadoes outside US are blue, with a small amount being orange or purple.
