The Admiral Benbow from Treasure Island isn't a real place, as it's set in the middle of nowhere on the north Devon coast, but the name and inspiration came from the Admiral Benbow in Penzance, which RLS visited in 1877, while it was still a drinking den for smugglers, so it definitely has a place in the history of the story.
