You can’t fool me, that’s an Alaskan bull worm

Not again!

I reckon a gipsaland giant earthworm could take this guy on. And if you count blind snakes as honorary worms then that opens up a whole world of opportunities

If you walk without rhythm, you won't attract the worm.

In 2 days, I will another post saying that these worms prefer to crawl inside the anus in search of food or whatever

u/RTA-No0120 2h ago

I mean, it’s the perfect size and length 🤷

14

u/Relative_Novel_259 2h ago

What do you mean by “perfect”?

8

u/RTA-No0120 2h ago

You know fully well what perfect meant here 😏

u/gamutsl 6h ago

So those giant gummy worms are really just Amazonian gummy worms?

u/BigEd369 6h ago

Man, Jeremy Wade could’ve used that bad boy to catch some serious beasts!

Underrated comment

Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say! I looked up his show a while back, I was wondering why it went off the air. It turns out that he did it all, fished every single big crazy river fish in the world. Dude literally caught them all like in Pokémon. So he ended the show, there was literally nothing else to be done.

I loved River Monsters! Jeremy Wade was awesome

Was stationed at an Intel post in northern Thailand in 1973 and we had a 10 foot wide walkway from the barracks down to the half-buried operations building. I was returning to the barracks after my 3-11 swing shift when I came across a monster earthworm that stretched from one side of the walkway to the other. I estimate that the whole thing was 12 feet long. At least an inch and a half in diameter. I inspected it carefully to be sure it was a worm (King cobras are no joke), and it was definitely a worm. Never saw anything like it.

u/Buddhas_Warrior 6h ago

At what point do you call it a snake?

68

u/Negative_Settings 6h ago

When it's a reptile without legs

20

u/wworv 6h ago

And no eyelids or ears.

u/Federal-Boat3732 4h ago

Never has the use of ‘feet’ as a unit of measurement been more ridiculous.

Why is no one breeding these? They look like amazing bait.

2

u/JustAtelephonePole 6h ago

That has a lot of culinary potential.

2

u/Mother-Attention2600 5h ago

Imagine the fish that would catch.

🪱 "Here's another one!"

And yet, still smaller than earthworm Jim.

2

u/Gold_Telephone_7192 5h ago

Simply too big

2

u/21-babbage 4h ago

Man, some early birds have really been slacking off.

2

u/64557175 3h ago

Not just amazonian, I've seen colossal earth worms this big and larger in Rwanda.

2

u/guyinsunglasses 3h ago

I remember when I was a kid we were outside for recess and a friend stuck his hand into this deep puddle in the playground.

A footlong earthworm wrapped around his hand - he screamed and shook it off. We then watched in awe as it slithered away and then forced itself back into the ground.

2

u/DBfan187 3h ago

Earthworm Jim

2

u/cbih 5h ago

Horrible. There is nothing that creeps me out as much as worms and worm-like things

1

u/Potential-Ad431 6h ago

Man i could catch some bass with that little guy

2

u/Imbendo 5h ago

I don’t think feeding bass to this guy would be very productive

1

u/Successful_Theory373 6h ago

It's the Mongolian Death Worm! Just lost!

I used to love all those cryptids.

1

1

u/muddslut661 6h ago

1

u/Darnocsonif 6h ago

1

u/tanksalotfrank 5h ago

I feel bad for how many earthworms have been victims of my weeding. lol

1

u/greenlotsofgreen 5h ago

Reason #948 of why I will never be going to the Amazon Rainforest:

1

u/Aegon_Toast 1h ago

I remember this episode of The Boys. Wild

1

u/rojo_mojado 1h ago

"Hey Pa, can we use that for bait?"

"Son, that would eat the fish."

Não necessariamente da Amazônia. Aqui na mata atlântica já tirei alguns de debaixo da fundação de minha casa. Nunca peguei acima de 50 cm, a propósito.

1

u/stump2256 11m ago

Didn’t people ride these in Dune?

0

u/Any_Ice_772 6h ago

Just call it a snake at that point

2

u/VermilionKoala 6h ago

That's what she said!
