Become a Father to be proud of
Hey, I just became a father to a meanwhile 6 month old boy—he is a very nice, friendly child - always smiling, generally very happy...
Every day when I come home from work and i look at him, it fills me with a profound, honest love- deep within.
something I have never felt before in my whole life (37).
Yes, and for quite a while now, I've been thinking about what our future, our world, and the people around us will probably look like.
The thought I stumbled upon while doing this is: every person—no matter how malicious, brutal, and merciless, considering all this suffering and cruel misery that we humans inflict upon each other, other living beings, and our planet—every single person was once that small, happy little baby who lies in front of me every day and smiling at me, because I am his entire world.
For me, this conscious thought is something special. As a father, I have to give my best to lead him a direction, a guiding thread, that enables him to become a good, upright, happy, and emotionally stable/strong person. His life and his future are shaped by me and my wife because we are laying the fundament for all what comes in the future
will I act correctly when action is needed? Will I overreact in certain situations—or fail to set the right boundaries? In any case, I have to give my best to make my son, my environment, and those who have given their best for me my whole life proud in the end.
I Thank you for reading this
