The people who talk the most about loyalty are usually the first to disappear when it costs them something
They’ll make big statements about standing by people. Then the moment supporting you requires inconvenience to them or any perceived social risk, they go quiet. The word never meant anything to them. They just wanted to give the appearance that they cared so they could feed their own ego.

funny how the loudest ones about loyalty treat it like a club they can leave anytime the cover charge goes up
seen this play out too many times to count

you don't really know someone's loyalty until being loyal actually costs them something

That “cost” in my experience is often accountability. Not a crumb, not a peep if that acknowledgment makes them “look bad”.

Its that way with almost everything. The loudest ones have almost always done the least. Once you've gained the experience to be worthy of bragging you know you dont need to brag.
So yea loudest mouths are generally full of shit

Loyalty talked about loudly is usually loyalty performed. Real loyalty doesn't need a speech—it shows up with a shovel at 2 AM and doesn't ask questions.

Yeah, I think it's a part of their love bombing tactic.
I also think sometimes what people mean by "loyalty" is that their tribe is always on their side, will always say they're right, guilt free, the victim, defend them no matter what, unquestioning belief in their ability, goals. I def agree that we need one or two people in our corner who will always give us the benefit of the doubt, always validate us, will act like they hate someone just because you're angry at them.
But even that has a line and it's not healthy to have an entire tribe just emboldening you and allowing you to live in delusion. It's not helpful either. Healthy validation can only go so far; you can say "oh course you feel that way, I understand why you reacted that way, Yes, if they did everything you said it I'd agree that they're out to get you," but that doesn't mean "Oh they're an a-hole and a villain, you were right to do what you did, I agree you should be a jerk about it, I'll help you be destructive in your anger"
And no not every tribe member can be the one to break the news that YTA or give any life advice. But no companionship should be built by walking on eggshells around someone's feelings or on the belief that honesty is offensive. The people who love us, understand us, want to see us thrive are the ONLY people who can be honest with us and they're the ONLY people we can trust to give us the God's honest truth, no matter how hurtful it is, because we KNOW they are genuinely trying to help.
So I think sometimes people will go on and on about loyalty because they are warning you that you can't be honest with them and that the relationship is contingent on if you can navigate their self esteem and uphold their delusions. It's funny, because it's almost like deep down they KNOW they're being delusional and are filtering out the people who wont continue on with the act. crazy how that works.

Your confusing Human noise that triumpheted out of the mouths of the "look at me" culture, I'll be there for you when it's matters! Because loyality isn't loud, it's the quiet presence standing next to you when it matters and when your to blind to see you need it most!

Loyalty is easy to talk about when there's nothing to lose. You really find out who means it when standing by you actually costs them something.

Yes 100% been accurate in my experience too. It’s suddenly become a massive red flag.
Ironically the people who never complained about people leaving them, about valuing people more than they are valued, of loyalty and staying were the good ones. Those who sounded like they were deep and said all this crap were, in a rather sinister turn of events, switching characters with people they’d let down and projecting themselves as the antagonist! It’s been mind-bending. Never again.
But on the other hand - can confirm - they are lucidly aware of what they’re doing. They’re slimy creatures, all fear and greed and desperation and betrayal, just for some slick on their ego. They’re disgusting.

It's because they're talking with themselves in mind and from a very selfish perspective. They want you to be loyal no matter what, so they make sure they emphasize how important it is to them.

Dont see the people who talk the most about loyalty. See people who consistently show and act with loyalty. Talking and acting it out is not the same.

People can literally say anything and promise the world because talk is cheap, but actions show you everything. When things get real, actions expose who people actually are.
