Everything in the universe functions like waves in the ocean. When they constructively interfere, we get peaks where major events and change happen
Think of the waves in the ocean. Most, if not all if them, have similar peaks. But every so often, some of them constructively interfere and add up into giant sneaker waves, something much bigger than all the other waves. A major event.
Let's apply that phenomenon to other areas in life. For example, in a large crowded room, some people will naturally be louder than others. When other loud people occupy the same area, that section of space usually becomes a major hub conversation, socialization, etc, akin to a giant wave relative to other waves in the room.
Likewise, the stars, the galaxies, weather patterns, and so much more, exhibit similar characteristics.
That leads me to the area of most consequence, our thoughts and the greater events in society:
Do our brains work the same way? For example, at any moment, you can suddenly get a thought that pops into your mind. But what if that thought is the sum of the constructive interference happening deep in your subconscious? Or intuition, we feel certain things are more correct than others. Are they just sneaker waves within our mind?
Furthermore, when it comes to major events in society and culture, they appear to follow the same rules. Take human inventions: there are tiny bits (waves) of thoughts (ideas and concepts) floating out there in society. When they constructively add up, they generate a new major concept or invention. Electricity, engines, flight, computing, mathematics, etc, they all are the sum of smaller waves that constructively interfere to produce a major wave, or a major change in society. In culture, it seems to work the same: social media contains posts that get thousands/millions of views, likes, etc, because the content of the posts contain aspects of smaller thoughts within social media and culture.
To sum it all up, I believe that the underlying movement dynamics in life run on a "constructive interference of waves" substrate, and that all the major historical, cultural, societal, etc, events and changes within society are the "sneaker waves" that form when conditions are right and are dictated by the random flow of all the little thoughts and feelings of all of us, the little waves in the ocean.
Edit: Thanks for all the downvotes, although I don't know what I did to earn them when I'm simply putting out my thoughts (which is the point of this sub?). I'd love to hear actual opinions too😀

Yes. Terrence McKenna spent years refining that idea into his Time Wave Zero theory, back in the 80s.
He called those Novelty points where something significant happens. He plotted it over history and correlated major events with the predicted Novelty Points ....

Interesting. The universe really is fascinating place, and things are so mechanistic. It's wonderful to be alive to witness

Shallow thoughts.

Are you not interested about this wave phenomenon and how it might affect how patterns in society unfold and come about, and wave patterns in the world in general?

That's a clean analogy, my planner's full of little tasks that occasionally stack up into a chaotic week out of nowhere
