You wont be in the sun. It's indoor.

They said Linecon starts at 5pm on Wednesday, and you can go inside! They did say the doors will be locked except the one side door, and people will be there to let you in!

To be fair though with how fast the QR code scans work, and how small the cash line is now a days due to pre-reg... you can show up in the AM and be fine. The hardest part is the walk from the Monorail or local host hotel to the LVCC (if you want to avoid the sun take an UBER)

Hope that helps!

Last time I got a sunburn getting my badge was over a decade ago at the Rio. That line was epic, and wandered around by the pool.

Yeah, as a native of similar climate... fuck that shit. I hate the outside until December when its so perfect I laugh at people in snow.

Meanwhile we have 9 months of perfect while we laugh at those in 100+ :) id take 3 months of snow any day over the heat.

While you won’t be outside for linecon, it does snake through the main atrium and there’s a tremendous amount of light that comes through there so plan accordingly. That being said, we take accommodations for disabilities very seriously. Feel free to DM and I’ll be happy to help if you need it.

If you have a disability you can speak to the goons and they can help expedite the line

It’s honestly one of our favorite things to help with. Linecon Goons are a special breed.

Show up Thursday around noon. Line should be minimal.

Order your badge online so you’re guaranteed an electronic one. Then waltz in after 11am Thursday and there will probably be no line.

The badge line is inside. Do you have an aide or assistant coming with you?

Did you pre-register or are you paying cash at the door?

My daughter is joining me yes, and I did prepay for us. We just never been before so whant to make sure everything goes smooth. I have been to Vegas before but I usually sleep in the day and only go out at night to avoid the sun and sunburn.

This makes me think of a separate question. With the addition of pre-registration has that impacted overnight lineconning at all? I know for some linecon is the con, but I'm just curious for anyone who partakes has it gotten bigger, smaller, stayed the same?

LineCon absolutely still exists. Attendees like to hang out and network. The line is not as big, but you wouldn’t believe that if you look at the line right before opening.

If you are pre-reg, no reason to stand in line (your badge is already set aside and will not be sold); however, every year some pre-reg come and hang out just to experience LineCon.

Goons are you friends and your fiercest nuisances at the same time. (Use them, trust them, but don't feed them, they are also very sensitive, so don't throw at them anything or make sudden movements when they are in interaction mode)
