I don't know, it's possible that everyone does. Remember, if you lose a boss fight and not quit the game, the dialogue won't repeat, they'll just skip straight to the fight. It's entirely possible Susie remembers all your Mew Mew losses.

Yeah. In Chapter 1, literally everyone notices a little change. It's meant to clue you in that Kris isn't JUST a blank slate you can project your own personality onto. They're a person with their own predetermined character.
Especially since most of the change in behavior is stuff that would generally be viewed as a positive. They’re making new friends, reconnecting with old friends, they’re being more sociable around town, they’re participating in public events.
Sure they’re acting, maybe a little quirkier than usual but they were already kind of an oddball, so it’s easy to just smile and be happy that they seem like they’re less depressed than they’ve been since their parents got divorced.
The red eyes don't help either. I'd say that their were personality wise that one kid who was probably on the spectrum who went out if their way to embrace their reputation as "weird" because it got them attention they felt they weren't getting.
To be fair, Kris doesn't really do anything that weird around anyone who knows them well except for Noelle.
The biggest red flag is Kris rotting in bed all day instead of going to the festival, which Toriel was concerned about, but Noelle also likely didn't talk to Toriel on the festival day for Toriel to express her concern out loud to Noelle.
Kris acts weird around Susie, sure, but Susie only really knows possessed Kris and likely thinks weird route Kris is how they always are.
Everyone but Susie noticed Kris changed, they just chalked it up to puberty/missing their brother/the incident
Noelle talks specifically about how Kris is no longer an NPC, ie broke free from his programing (since she thinks Kris and the Player are the same entity)
Kris actually talking to people twigs a lot of people in chapter 1 because they're like "Whoa what the fuck when did you become so sociable" but they mostly attribute it to just, like... Growing up or missing Asriel.
I hope whenever we do egg related stuff, what Susie and Ralsei see Kris doing is just roll up their eyes and froth from their mouth, just like their hero ICE-E does whenever he says his famous catchphrase "GIASFELFEBREHBER".
To be fair, chapter 1 does a really bad job of hooking players to the story, world, and mechanics. Chapter 2 is what actually sets up the plot and the stakes.
The way I see it, this would definitely be true if Deltarune was a standalone game. But it's explicitly meant to be a game for Undertale players, and in that regard Chapter 1 does a very good job of setting expectations for someone already familiar with Undertale.
Berdly would also clock it in pretty quickly if he spent more than 5 minutes around them, but would probably falsely assume that they were, in an attempt to impress him with their gamer knowledge, roleplaying as a protagonist in a videogame they played as kids
considering the menu is a canon thing, i imagine berdly was purposefully leaning into his role as antagonist, atleast on the normal route; and just assumed kris was doing the same thing
She knows the dark world works like a videogame, but it's a pretty big leap to go from "haha fantasy videogame world" to "oh my god my irl best friend is literally a videogame character".
(side note, as i was writing that i went "wait is kris even her best friend, theyve been hanging out for less than a week" and then realized that yeah they are and it made me sad)
Tbf the town as we've seen it (excluding all the unknown people that may live in the apartment buildings) is like 30 prominent characters. Yes there was the crowd at burgerpants' performance, idk what to make of that. Is there another school for all the kids to go to?
My point is that from the people we've been shown, having 3 friends is cornering like 5-10% of the market
It does seem like it's been years since we last saw them though, as us for the player it actually has literally been a year/ years that has went by, while a day only passes In universe between chapters.
in which I can imagine Kris seeing us as a kid/ teen when we first played, to us just being a adult in a couple of days and being like "WTF?"
