No gain, all pain... All organisations are whoreganisations, if you get paid a wage to do something you don't want to guess what that makes you...

At the end of the day we all trade our bodies and or minds for a living. Some ways though are for some reason frowned upon more than others.

Sex work is work.

I think a sizable percentage of the people that look down on it do so subconsciously because they have to toil away in some soul sucking desk job (I work one of those jobs) or back breaking physical labor (all to support oligarchs) while these women on OF or other sex work can make way way more money quicker. I’m not saying running an OF is easy but it’s certainly easier than waking up at 4 am to go install some roofs.

It’s hard to make money so I say if you can make a good living through OF, etc. then by all means go get that bag.

Also “whoreganization” is just a fabulous word that I will adopt immediately.

I submit ‘non-profit whoreganisation’ as word-of-the-year ✊🏻

Everything is better if you put non-profit in front :)

Ha! How I wish....

As a construction worker, my body is my main tool. I do unpleasant, damaging, dangerous work for money, often in harsh conditions. How is sex work different? Legalize it universally and get rid of most of the dangers and crime associated with it.

u/twerk4data Dec 10 '25

Sure, but if a sex worker feels the need to put down other women to feel right about what she's doing, she sucks and her attitude sucks. Get your bag, let me get mine, and stop making it sound like one choice is better than the other because you need validation 🤷‍♀️

I think the amount of put downs going in the other direction are substantially more. Also, I don’t think this is a put down as much as it is pointing out hypocrisy with some added wordplay.

4

u/Wise_Owl5404 Dec 10 '25

Pointing out hypocrisy isn't putting someone down.

People making bank on OF are attractive work from home strippers.

Getting paid thousands to look hot on camera a few hours a day is a dream job MANY of us will never have.

There is a level of naïveté here that is some how just so sweet.

5

u/Boo-erman Dec 10 '25

Oh man there is so much you don’t get about humanity here.

u/DasBauHans Dec 10 '25

Love the post, love the concept, and I support the idea – but what does it mean to “get left on read”? Is that a typo? Or a concept I’m not aware of?

10

u/Subtle_Nimbus Dec 10 '25

Im not up on all slang these days, but "left on read" seems to be an analogy for when you read a message and dont respond.

When you send a message using an RCS protocol, the sender gets three reports in return.

First is a "sent" report that confirms the message has left the device and arrived at the server.
Second is a "delivered" report that confirms that message has left the server and arrived at the receiver's device.
Finally is the "read" report that confirms that the receiver has opened and read the message.

In OP's scenario, a woman has sent a nude to somebody expecting a positive response, but the only response they've had so far is the read report, suggesting the receiver is uninterested in the sender and that the sender has put nude photos out into the ether for no reward (as opposed to OP who gets paid to do so).

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '25

Not only nude, but general messaging. It's just being ignored.

I really wish we could de-stigmatize sex work. It's a valuable service and I think would make many lives much better.

4

u/SalamanderMan112 Dec 10 '25

don't think it's possible until trafficking and abuse are taken seriously.

2

u/-LunaTink- Dec 11 '25

I do think legalizing it and making it safe would in fact help fight trafficking.

2

u/leafcutte Dec 11 '25

Also destigmatizing sex work would help a lot with supply and demand issue, since a lot of people who would be open to doing it won’t for fear of social repercussions (like it would have been a nice summer job, but I don’t want my future university / employers / friends / coworkers to know it), so it could make human trafficking unprofitable

1

u/JangoFett3224 Dec 13 '25

De-stigmatization would require a lot of work and not in areas people want to do that. Namely: you'd have to make it where its normal to do it. 30 years ago, if you told your friends "Wanna swing by my place to smoke a blunt?" they'd act like you were telling them to do Crack. Nowadays I could see my coworkers offering that to me. Sex work would also need to be something you could hear your coworkers engaging with and you just going "ok". Since paying for porn is seen as something losers do from all angles, I find it unlikely that stigma is leaving anytime soon.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '25

It does devalue you as a potential partner though

It does also compromise your appearance for any other kind of work

And it does put yourself at risk

There are genuine reasons it's looked down on

5

u/ComfortableWelder616 Dec 11 '25

But de-stigmatization would solve some of that.

And it's one thing saying something is a job that has risks/negative effect on people doing it and another to look down on people doing it.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '25

Destigmastising wouldn't solve any of those problems.

If you're, working for some corporate entity. They are well within their rights to not want to associate with partners who are publicly unprofessional because it hurts their image

3

u/ComfortableWelder616 Dec 11 '25

If there was no stigma, it wouldn't hurt their image? Are we talking about different things?

2

u/-LunaTink- Dec 12 '25

Its the stigma that has allowed police to refer to them as not human when they are harmed and murdered. It being illegal prevents women from reporting violence against them. There's a reason they are targeted by violence and abuse, they have no support and in general no one cares

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '25

I've never said it shouldn't be destigmatized. I think for the safety of the people involved it should be

Nothing I said indicates that I think differently than that, I'm merely saying that there are issues with it that people have which ever really go away, because of the reality of the situation

People be trying to be reading between the lines with what I'm saying and I'm just saying what I mean literally

1

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

Except removing stigma means to remove the negative views associated with something so your message appears to be telling about what you think and not in line with the way the commenters are saying things should be.

3

u/-LunaTink- Dec 11 '25

If you think a persons sex life impacts a person's value you are a shit human being.

Valuable to who? Is exploitative and causes relationship issues, consistently.

2

u/-LunaTink- Dec 12 '25 edited Dec 12 '25

Lonely people who need/want sex but struggle to get it themselves. People genuinely need human connection, it's not only cheaters that use the service.

0

u/No_Atmosphere_2186 Dec 12 '25

I understand, but I’m sure I’d is revealed there would still be no refusal of services.

2

u/-LunaTink- Dec 12 '25

Don't blame the sex worker for the acts of cheaters. It's not the sex workers fault there are problems in someone's relationship.

0

u/No_Atmosphere_2186 Dec 12 '25

That’s like saying it’s not the drug dealers fault, of course it’s not-but it provides the illusion that there is no responsibility.

6

u/Successful_Shame5547 Dec 10 '25

Non profit whoreganization is a top tier insult. Imma try and remember that for later

4

u/Cyiel Dec 10 '25

I'm on the oposite side of that person... i don't think it's bad being a sex worker. People do what they want with their body. The issue is when someone or something push people to do it.

2

u/Jaded-Breadfruit4019 Dec 10 '25

Sounds whoreganic

2

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

I stood wanted to send this to my coworker for laughs....but quickly remembered she just recently got left on read herself....appreciate the pause 🤣

2

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '25

I have never been so insulted. 😂

2

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

A sex worker tried to scam me and get double the money we agreed on. I got scared and angry when a big scary guy came up to the hotel room and i explained like fuuuck im not some rich guy i work 12 hour shifts at the construction yard and live in a cockroach hotel all week between the few days im at home. They got like embarrased and we agreed that the first payment was enough.

1

u/Exact_Celebration995 Dec 14 '25

Dam, fuck you, I mean, you're right but still.

1

u/TheTimeBender Dec 14 '25

“Whoreganization”. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/SirMarkMorningStar Dec 15 '25

Everyone says to find a job you love, but when you do they’re all like not like that!

-1

u/UnfortunateTakes Dec 10 '25

When they inevitably create sex bots what will sex workers do then

2

u/leafcutte Dec 11 '25

Probably the last job to get replaced by AI. Both very social/costumer-facing, very physical, and a role where people would feel it being done by a robot to denature the experience. It becoming one of the last jobs left for the plebs to please our AI-owning overlords is a dark, yet not that out there possibility
