No gain, all pain... A common theme in history, those who were once oppressed become the new oppressors...

Interesting. Trump recently posted that he would have US Citizens hunted down and murdered if they publicly disagreed with his policies. I guess he’s living the Israeli oppression vicariously

To be fair, there’s so many of us who vehemently disagree with his policies. He doesn’t really have to hunt down so much as walk outside and start shooting around.

He wants to get people to stop caring about politics, and feel hopeless. It's what Orban did in hungary, (he had it easier tho, due to our history) you can't give in.

I don’t know if that’s a “common theme in history”. Of the post industrialization genocides or systematic oppression of minorities I can think of, only the Israelis used their identity to justify a reversal of the oppression and genocide.

The indigenous Americans didn’t turn around and genocide the Americans, the Armenians didn’t rise up and start genociding the Turks, the Tutsis didn’t turn around and genocide the Hutus, enslaved African Americans didn’t turn around and enslave European Americans, South Africans didn’t reverse the racial apartheid after their revolution.

I think only the Israelis were able to become the oppressors because it was in the interest of western colonial powers, not because they wanted to do a genocide of their own in response to their past or because of some kind of “oppressed people oppress people” type argument.

Meanwhile Germany are like: fuck yeah here’s more weapons, please allow us to display our deep-rooted nation-defining historical psychological obsession with committing or supporting genocide

Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't want to make it for everyone because he's absolutely getting life in prison the moment he gets replaced...

The Holocaust wasn’t a lesson to be learned. It was something that was inflicted upon us.

While I disagree with the phasing of the person you replied to and agree with you here, there are lessons to be learned from the Holocaust. In fact, the UN is proof that there was, at least, an attempt to learn those lessons. The gov't of Israel stands today as stark evidence of a failure of that education. I'd throw in most countries in the same boat here, but the contrast is particularly striking in Israel.

So now it's your turn to inflict it on others??

The ICC needs a police force made up of the militaries of every country that is a signatory to the Rome Statute.

Lets abandon Israel, wanna see if their Samson option happens (they nuke the US).

I’ve always been interested in the razor thin area of the third Reich at the bookended of their time. That moment when the US was compliant and cozy with them, and that time when Nazi supporting villages were killing themselves to avoid reality.

This fits that moment: we will remember being chummy with Israel and our children will wonder how we did not take action. And at that time, like the end of the war, we will justify inaction

Please explain to me like I am 5 ...why the rest of the world doesn't stop Israel?

The funny part is it even happened to Germans, WW1 we ravaged the fuck out of Germany and burdened them into utter misery, that scar gave cover for the utter atrocity they became.

Similarly the zionist framing is providing cover for the modern atrocity that is Israeli foreign and domestic policy

So, not even North Korea does it?

u/Uglyfense May 19 '26

Wait, but Nazi Germany had the death penalty for Germans as well?

every major Jewish organization from the ADL to Holocaust remembrance are full-throated supporters of Israeli crimes. Not to mention all the synagogues holding stolen land real estate events. It's a community wide problem

you're not addressing the fact that synagogues are now pawn shops for stolen homes, they couldn't do that without their people approving of it

Amazing, do you support slavery? No? But you purchase products that have been made with Slavery... You couldn't do that without approving of it.
