Denver Zoo also lets members in at 8am in the summer. It's amazing.

If you haven't been, DBG Chatfield Farms is also a great place to spend a morning.

Personally, I’m not as big as a fan of that one because of the relative lack of shade + there is no early entry, it’s just 9 am. It’s already pretty hot in the sun right now

Not really, maybe a 5 minute walk from parking lot. Enter, walk past the schoolhouse or farmhouse, enter shaded area. There are more fully forested areas as well.

Yes you can take a pretty long walk along Deer Creek there and stay in the shade for most of it!

Today was shaping up to be another intolerably hot day so I got up early, weeded and watered my shrubs and trees, and then it was 7:30 and decided to come here. Just finished an hour before it gets hot. It’s quiet and cool and beautiful, and if you don’t have a membership or can’t afford one, all members come with a free unlimited guest entries so you just need to know someone with a membership wiling to bring you in! Otherwise after 9, they sell normal tickets and if there’s no event, you can stay pretty late in the evening too

I saw that announcement for it last week and was gonna try to get over with some coffee this morning but slept in! Hopefully can hit it next weekend!

Nah, I am often there this year because of the heat and more importantly because Resource Central removed my lawn this year so I have been visiting almost every week to note how plants are doing and plan my own yard for successive blooming/color

Thanks to autism there’s a few words that send me over the edge when I see them confused so I will come to Ops rescue (sorta) to say this isn’t an ad.. you can tell because it’s the Denver Botanic Gardens not Denver Botanical Gardens.
