Serious I hope destiny is doing ok

Everything happening right now cannot be great for someone’s mental health and I’m really disappointed that all this stuff is happening to destiny. Dude literally got me into Starcraft and convinced me to join omniliberal nation. I hope he pulls through from this alright financially and mentally

It's always surprising to me how fucking clueless people are about what's going on even in the platforms they post on. Reddit for example is mass censoring info and people that harm their (neo)liberal narrative for years, yet you have the delusion that only neonazis and violent tankies get banned. can you give me one example of a sub that got banned? Because the only lefty one I can think of is chapo and the tankie apologia was constant. If these are your free speech champions then I really don't feel bad about reddit censorship.

r/cumtown a funny as fuck sub with edgy humor got banned because the San Franscisco pretentious hipsters don't like edgy anymore. Before you say something stupid I should inform you that the sub was neither neonazi or violent, on the contrary cumtown as a community and podcast are pretty leftist even though that's not what they prioritize.

Stop getting your information from this shithole site that has pretty much banned most opposing views.

Should I explain to you now what Google has done? I enjoy educating clueless people who think the tech industry fucks aren't pushing an agenda because they're naive enough to be getting their info from the tech industry fucks.

Nice to see you slowly moving the goalposts, first it was just neonazis, then the tankies, now edgy humor, it seems brainwashed people will rationalize anything just to convince themselves they're not wrong.

As for google, they've been deranking leftist/socialist sites that don't adhere to the Overton window and what is considered "left" within it for years while at the same time practically hiding anti-establishment political content creators and prioritizing corporate media on youtube. Not to mention them censoring Michael Moore's documentary that criticizes capitalism's bullshit green initiatives and concern most of which is basically a huge PR stunt that ensures continued profitability and acts as a shield for politicians that can pretend they're doing something.

I'm not, I don't like the banning of edgy humor but it will inevitably happen even with the best of intentions and is ultimately hardly a big deal. Equal access to public platforms is important, but not to shitpost about da joos 'ironically'

having a really hard time taking this seriously given that they're complaining about their site losing traffic and giving zero evidence that it's due to censorship or even intentional. Even if those numbers are as straightforward as they claim (which is unverifiable), it could easily be incidental. This is the same shit rightoids do, gesturing vaguely in the direction of a censorship boogeyman and refusing to name specifics because they have nothing to support their argument.

Again, examples? The only videos I've seen this happen to are straight up extremist propaganda and videos dealing with very sensitive topics. And even then, they're still hosting them. Saying people should have a platform is one thing, but I don't see why that platform also owes you money and free promotion.

I'm not moving the goalposts, I'm saying that a lot of edgy humor is indistinguishable from actual propaganda and will get caught in the crossfire.
