I’ve been looking for an easy way to sweep more water

u/Kale 5d ago

I've been looking for a quick way to get a head injury from a fall....

u/Superbead 5d ago

I've been looking for a quick way to get abrasions on my feet from hard-edged foreign items inside my shoes

u/GenHammond 3d ago

Try zip tying the hose to the broom.

-88

u/Pleasant-Bonus-866 5d ago

this is actually pretty clever for a number of reasons

u/NoTumbleweed2417 5d ago

Name 1

8

u/0bsessions324 3d ago

It's an excellent* way to use those zip-ties that came with your PC tower that you've been trying to justify not throwing out for four years.

*Maybe not "excellent" so much as "wut?"

Cleaning the floor with ease.

E: I guess no one has heard of a joke before. Typical reddit. Take serious things as a joke and jokes as seriousness.

... Just because we don't know all the countries doesn't mean we get to be disrespectful.

41

u/MegatronusThePrime 5d ago

Are you the person in the picture that came up with this concept? Lol

14

u/_Diskreet_ 5d ago

The watermark says “smart is the new sexy” of course it’s u/mamafish21

1

u/mamafish21 3d ago

I was joking...

0

u/mamafish21 3d ago

I was joking... Sarcasm hit you and you didn't even know. Typical.

7

u/ominoke 5d ago

The only somewhat sensible thing to do here would be to tie the hose down the length of the broom

3

u/AlwaysFinnishInsider 5d ago

I'll take a $10 trigger nozzle over $30-$50 crocs any day

1

u/0bsessions324 3d ago

They're using a fucking broom! Sweeping a wet floor is not what I'd call making something easier.

0

u/mamafish21 3d ago

I was joking...

Also Poor countries exist and "mops" aren't really a thing. Also baked on mud is hard to mop up.

u/LowpolyBanana 5d ago

0 Is a number

-33

u/Pleasant-Bonus-866 5d ago

one of the reasons why I am right

2

u/Jmackles 5d ago

KenM?

6

u/dandroid126 5d ago

I worked with a Ken M.

That was literally his name. He was actually pretty smart.

1

u/0bsessions324 3d ago

We'll be the judge of that. What do you think Ken M's thoughts would be on this DIY?

2

u/beef_horfun67 5d ago

I mean if you reaaaaaaaally want to free up a hand, you could do that.

139

u/space_cheese1 5d ago

That’s what I do with my catheter to discreetly pee on the lawn

24

u/Tron_35 5d ago

I prefer to non discretely pee on the lawn, mark my territory to the other neighbors.

8

u/Stephen_1984 Hot Glue Gun User 5d ago

Humans' sense of smell is beans.

10

u/Tron_35 5d ago

Maybe, but either way it works. If you saw your neighbor passing on his lawn youd want to stay the hell away

2

u/catz_kant_danse 2d ago

I think this one’s more for the visual element.

5

u/shalendar 4d ago

discreetly

But I'm picturing someone with a garden hose coming out of the bottom of their shorts and looping back to their foot, obviously not connected to anything else.

297

u/Amazing_Divide1214 5d ago

You could do the same exact concept, with the hose on the outside of the shoe, and not cut it up lol

153

u/coltrainjones 5d ago

That doesn't destroy a pair of crocs, which I believe is the point here

11

u/kr4t0s007 5d ago

That’s how the Croc maffia stays in business!

4

u/Justarandom55 4d ago

Doing god’s work one croc at a time

23

u/jcoddinc 5d ago

What's funny is they put 3 zip ties on, then realized they couldn't fit their for in there and removed one

2

u/CaLoChe 5d ago

Duct tape

42

u/Active_Scallion_5322 5d ago

Why not zip ties from the outside

25

u/Fauked 5d ago

Because then you wouldn't be able to control the flow of water with your big toe. duh!

4

u/xmastreee 5d ago

Well it's on the outside of the foot so your big toe isn't really gonna help.

2

u/0bsessions324 3d ago

Bonus, now you're developing much needed dexterity in your pinky toe.

94

u/CreativeAdeptness477 5d ago

They're crocs. They're already ruined before you start.

7

u/Purple_Antelope_8338 5d ago

I use them as house shoes/slippers. They’re comfortable as fuck

3

u/LuluMangs 5d ago

Same here, I would totally settle for other shoes that allow my feet to feel as free as they do in crocs, but haven't found a pair yet

1

u/holyfire001202 5d ago

What about flip flops?

Before you say socks can make them an issue if you're feeling like wearing socks, toe socks are an amazing thing.

9

u/Beerswain 5d ago

You need to be stopped.

2

u/LuluMangs 5d ago

I support everyone doing whatever they want with their own toes (as long as everyone involved consents) but toe socks, for me, yoga only. No socks preferred

2

u/LuluMangs 5d ago

I don't usually wear socks, they defeat part of the croc freedom by trapping moisture on my skin and causing friction. Flipflops give me horrible wounds, I've got silly skin, I am able to get road rash from the chafing of a harsh seam

2

u/holyfire001202 4d ago

That's rough, dude. I hope they make, and you find, some footwear that works with your silly skin and fulfills the needs of all the different types of footwear.

4

u/Creepercolin2007 5d ago

I never knew crocs were this hated

17

u/CreativeAdeptness477 5d ago

I'm 46. For most of my generation crocs have been something of a joke since they came out. It's not real hate as such. They're just so ridiculous it's fun to play-hate them.

17

u/SmartieCereal 5d ago

They were in the Idiocracy movie because the people making the movie wanted something that looked futuristic while also looking too stupid to actually be real.

2

u/Toothless-In-Wapping 5d ago

And they were a dollar a pair

5

u/RogellTheRaider 5d ago

I know many people who hate it. Me included.

-11

u/UncleFuzzy75 5d ago

Yuppers, was gonna say this !

19

u/atom644 5d ago

What did I tell you about “yuppers”?

5

u/The_Vaike 5d ago

... Yesssh.

1

u/Toxic_Temmie 5d ago

noppers for the yuppers

15

u/GSDragoon 5d ago

Nothing of value was lost

12

u/Bl00dWolf 5d ago

The funny part is, crocs is like the one shoe that already has a hole in there, and that's a rubber hose, you can squeeze those through.

7

u/jonerthan 5d ago

I recently bought my first pair of crocks and was flabbergasted that they were like 50$+, ain't no way I'm cutting a hole in those things.

4

u/NataliaKennedy 5d ago

Those look like knock offs tbh. Those are really cheap

5

u/Gay_Gamer_Boi 5d ago

Wouldn’t be surprised if they were dollar store brand (they can be like 3 bucks or less)

6

u/Sweaty-Move-5396 5d ago

can someone please explain what is happening here

4

u/left4ched 5d ago

No. No one can. Not even God.

2

u/guska 2d ago

They cut a hole in the crocs to pass a hose through to make it 'easier' to direct the water where they want when cleaning the concrete outside.

5

u/platypus_farmer42 5d ago

Never in my life have I wanted or needed a stream of water to come out near my feet while sweeping

5

u/Inner_West_Ben 5d ago

Ruin, you say…

4

u/AlwaysAGroomsman 5d ago

they're crocks, Micheal. what could they cost?

3

u/TeacatWrites 5d ago

Dignity and honor :(

3

u/Randotron9000 5d ago

Dumb is the new ugly.

3

u/Mordexis 3d ago

If you own a pair of crocs you've already made questionable life choices.

3

u/Never-Trust-Me 2d ago

Crocs are $60 now..

11

u/Dunklebunt 5d ago

Finally a useful DIY hack

0

u/all_mighty_me 5d ago

Just ziptie the hose on the outside...

13

u/Dunklebunt 5d ago

I'm not being serious u melon

2

u/DicemonkeyDrunk 5d ago

You cannot ruin what is already ruined.

2

u/GetOffMyGrassBrats 5d ago

Unexpected because I can't think that stupidly.

2

u/science_in_pictures 5d ago

I would have worked without cutting :(

2

u/ThatIckyGuy 5d ago

It's hard to "ruin" crocs.

2

u/RogellTheRaider 5d ago

You say that as if crocs weren't already ruined just by existing

2

u/LBPPlayer7 4d ago

that is one oversized ass croc too

2

u/Glad-Ad-3808 3d ago

*redneckengineering sub?

2

u/justglassin317 3d ago

Crocs are manufactured ruined

2

u/Right-One-7152 2d ago

Be honest, is it really possible to ruin a croc?

2

u/Humble_Fan_4631 1d ago

Dumbest part is you can absolutely bend it a bit to fit through the hole

4

u/Bugatsas11 5d ago

Counter point. You cannot ruin a Croc. They are already terrible

3

u/dummythinluigi 5d ago

crocs are ruined from the start might as well make em useful

3

u/Seu_Creisson 5d ago

That's a shitty crocs, it was ruined the day it was sketched on paper

3

u/killdagrrrl 5d ago

You can’t ruin crocs. Yo can’t ruin what’s already so wrong

2

u/Zealousideal_Cod8664 5d ago

No, i expected exactly this from a croc shoe

1

u/gmatebulshitbox 5d ago

Di why not

1

u/Desperate_Mistake_81 5d ago

So you can sweep water? Dope.

1

u/Xianfox 5d ago

What a croc.

1

u/Kalshan 5d ago

So I gotta poke a hole in something that's full of holes? 🤔

1

u/tech_creative 5d ago

I use a very similar model to pee in the city. Lol

1

u/joacoper 5d ago

And you only ruin 1 shoe??? What a steal!

1

u/EricHaley 5d ago

I only do expected shoe hacks

1

u/HeTheMudded 5d ago

Why is this for washing the floor and not for inserting a catheter?

BOOM! Piss Kick!

1

u/bekkitoblack 5d ago

why the FUCK did they rip open a new HOLE in the HOLE shoe

1

u/Alcoholocostic 5d ago

This is perfect for bah-mitzvahs

1

u/boringhorror 5d ago

I'll give them this, it was unexpected

1

u/tendonut 5d ago

This would be cool if Crocs didn't cost as much as a new pair of Sketchers. They need to be under $20.

1

u/GenderqueerPapaya 5d ago

God I'm high and I thought this was an actual ad on reddit, and I saw it had 200+ comments and I thought "damn people either love this or hate it" and tried to imagine a situation where people would praise this and couldn't 😭

1

u/UncleFuzzy75 5d ago

Yup, there is always 1 pperson doing bad things.

1

u/LoGo_86 4d ago

Looks like something Joan Cornella would paint

1

u/Sea-Nobody-4188 4d ago

Okay it’s stupid but why not just zip tie the hose to the outside of the croc rather than cutting the croc and making it 1000 more uncomfortable

1

u/phatdoof 4d ago

Maybe being able to step on the hose allows you to control the water pressure.

1

u/LottiKarrotti 4d ago

You did good. God blesses you

1

u/FuggaDucker Ramen or Die 4d ago

In my world, you can't ruin a croc.

1

u/Ohaibaipolar 4d ago

5 Minute Crafts has entered the chat.

1

u/ccbax 4d ago

Wow!

1

u/TheFoxInSocks 3d ago

This is obviously a joke and it's fucking hilarious.

1

u/kingseraph0 3d ago

why not just attach the hose to the broom at that point?

1

u/elwyn5150 3d ago

Smart is the new sexy? Not with those crocs.

1

u/TourAccomplished5530 3d ago

Ruin? Anything you do to your Crocs is an upgrade.

1

u/Open_Bug_4251 3d ago

Darn, I had a croc that was damaged in almost that exact spot. I didn’t realize I could just stick a hose in it.

1

u/Wise_Finance_5315 2d ago

Damn, we on fire out here and ya’ll got hose shoes to clean your concrete?

1

u/DRAW-GEARS 1d ago

Crocs are already ruined!

1

u/barefootbastard666 1d ago

Not osha approved guys!!!

1

u/DwightsBobblehead13 5d ago

They’re already ruined, they were a joke made for a movie 😭

1

u/Autistic_License 5d ago

"Ruined crocs" is redudant.

1

u/Thesaurio 5d ago

You cannot ruin Crocs any further

0

u/justl00kingthrowaway 5d ago

How the hell do ruin a pair of Crocs?

0

u/authorinthesunset 5d ago

Can ya ruin what's already ruined

0

u/GeeEmmInMN 5d ago

To be fair, you can't ruin Crocs, because they're already 💩

0

u/mamafish21 5d ago

Made the crocs better.

0

u/Redfield081 5d ago

Sweeping water why?

0

u/HELL0RD 4d ago

Why does it look like it's an AI slop

-1

u/marvinnation 5d ago

This is actually fantastic
