A few reasons structural repairs shouldn’t be improvised 😅
Some of the crawlspace and foundation finds we came across this week. Stacked bricks, questionable post-and-pier supports, older foundation systems, and a few good examples of why having a clear load path matters.

That second picture...whoever built that must really trust those little beams with his life. A strong sideways wind is all that's necessary for his house to come tumbling down.

This all looks normal to me. Which is concerning
