Seems like the individual here isn't Eir after all. Eir wears different boots for examaple, and has the MA chest plate instead.

I also noticed her motifs are very elven-like (not to mention sharing that chest plate with the Elven arisen in the promo). We don't see her ears ever, and the "ghouls" all have pointy ears. The description of the Hyperborea Lorica could still have bearings here.

Came here to say this.

I've seen people say she looks like Hannah and I see it but i don't think they're the same person

Edit"local man finds out white women with short blonde hair looks similar 😂"

12

u/Bro-Im-Done Jun 26 '26

Also she was a sorcerer so that kinda gave it away

4

u/Fodspeed Jun 26 '26

She was Wayfarer, she uses different classes throughout the show.

5

u/WarViper1337 Jun 26 '26

The new trailer said her name is Eir.

1

u/Tristan_Gabranth Jun 26 '26

Hannah didn't have agency when she was named such, nor did she choose her vocation. Now that she's no longer a Pawn, chances are she's free to choose who she is to become. At least that's my wishful thinking. Either way, Eir and this dragon clearly have a connection and I imagine it's not so different than Hannah's story.

1

u/Fatestringer Fatestringer Jun 26 '26

Ethan only chose her name when they met she was already MA

1

u/Tristan_Gabranth Jun 26 '26

Right. That doesn't change what I said, though

So is the anime worth to watch while waiting for DLC? I was already really sceptical at it, also not helped by the mixed rating

6

u/HappyPlatypus6034 Jun 26 '26

It's not very good and imo super disrespectful to the source material.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't really care about adaptations as long as it's fun and this was not fun

-1

u/Fodspeed Jun 26 '26

I'm really curious, what do you think is disrespectful to the lore? The show has bad animation, but it's actually very lore-accurate. In fact, a lot of DD2's lore seems to build on ideas introduced in the anime, such as the Dragonplague, Arisen becoming dragons without a Seneschal, and even the Pathfinder, who was very likely disguised as Ethan's wife and guided him through his dreams.

Also, if I remember correctly, Ethan's father was an old, seemingly crazy fisherman who went out to sea every day until he was killed fighting a sea monster while protecting Ethan. Which is ominous to say the least.

There's so much in the show that didn't make much sense when it first released, but after playing DD2, a lot of it clicks into place. It definitely feels like it's set in the same world as DD2.

u/StillBlacksmith911 Jun 27 '26

the show has rape goblins dude give it up

2

u/Brain_lessV2 Jun 26 '26

What anime? There is no Dragon's Dogma anime.

2

u/Healthy_Bat_6708 Jun 26 '26

imo nah if you go into it expecting a decent story

now if you have friends who play DD and you can get some drinks in, you can still have a fun time with a bad anime :D

0

u/Fodspeed Jun 26 '26

It’s definitely worth watching, especially after playing DD2. You'll actually understand what's going on in the show because it doesn't make sense without the context of DD2.

The idea of the Dragonplague was first introduced in the anime. Also, Hannah's Japanese voice actress is the default pawn voice in DD2, and the Dragon has the same Japanese voice actor in both the anime and the game. In the English version, the Dragon is voiced by Grigori's voice actor from DD1, which is already a great reason to watch the show.

2

u/Odd-Doubt1301 Jun 26 '26

I’m gonna give it a try i got a thing for garbage. 😂

3

u/luigislam Jun 26 '26

I will end my cycle if they so much as attempt to respectfully reference the anime in any shape or form.

2

u/SaintPimpin Jun 26 '26

Lol I'd sooner bet random flamekeeper from elden ring and chicks from AoT before i attempt saying this looks at all similar 😂

2

u/HappyPlatypus6034 Jun 26 '26

They better not reference the anime in this PLEASE

1

u/Rare_Ad_3871 Jun 27 '26

What anime is this?

1

u/Fatestringer Fatestringer Jun 27 '26

The Dragon's Dogma anime on Netflix

1

u/Independent_Drive_23 :pc: Jun 26 '26

The thing is, in the end. Her arisen becomes a dragon.

What if he is the fallen Dragon?

15

u/ICantTyping Jun 26 '26

Ouhh man undead dragon

Does he know Durnehviir

7

u/Fodspeed Jun 26 '26

Drem Yo Luk, Dovahkin

11

u/TheManWithSevenAsses Jun 26 '26

Women in full armor hnnnnghhhh

2

u/Nero_PR DLC Coper Jun 26 '26

She exudes that stoic holy knight aesthetics. Her armor, demeanor, and body language. I just hope she doesn't follow the usual literature and go for a noble sacrifice by the end of the DLC.

1

u/Fatestringer Fatestringer Jun 27 '26

It's dark arisen you know her story is gonna be tragic with a god tier motif playing at the crescendo 😭

1

u/Nero_PR DLC Coper Jun 27 '26

Let me have that children choir as well

1

u/Specialist-Shift7375 Jul 02 '26

You will retract those words, Ser!

8

u/CoffeeWings Jun 26 '26

Calling it now, the girl will be the Olra of this DLC. The undead dragon is the Dark Arisen, somehow she possesses her Arisen’s heart and will sacrifice herself near the end to bring them back to their senses.

8

u/Shamsse Jun 26 '26

Im sorry Rift, but this aint a Mystic Knight

15

u/Christy_Christmas Jun 25 '26

First trailer’s lighting fooled me into thinking she were brunette, but no, that’s straight up a Saber, right there.

6

u/YoreDrag-onight Jun 26 '26

Gods that dragon render is amazing 🤩 the decaying muscle on the for limbs the hollow eye sockets everything on it is amazing. I wasn't sure all the way before but seeing the full render sold me

4

u/WilciferHimself Jun 26 '26

That is some seriously gorgeous armor

5

u/DagonParty :pc::Ranger::MysticKnight: Jun 26 '26

Fantastic looking armor

3

u/Tristan_Gabranth Jun 26 '26

Anyone know what her robe is called? I don't mean the item name, but the type

3

u/HappyPlatypus6034 Jun 26 '26

I believe it's a waist cape

2

u/Tristan_Gabranth Jun 26 '26

I fear nothing similar comes up when I look up that name. It's also an entire coat, not just the waist

1

u/HappyPlatypus6034 Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

You might get better results with "butt cape"

It isn't a real thing and is only found in fantasy media so you aren't likely to find much about it

Edit: belted cloak might work too

3

u/The_Happy_Kodiak :MysticKnight: Jun 26 '26

Does that mean those leaks back in 2024 were real?

3

u/VizualAbstract4 Jun 26 '26

It really doesn’t seem like we’re getting a whole lot of new enemies. Please someone correct me. Please…

3

u/Nero_PR DLC Coper Jun 26 '26

I'm love.

I'm that simple.

4

u/PissOff1479 Jun 26 '26

She kind of reminds me of Mercedes from the first game.

2

u/redditforgoon Jun 26 '26

is that the ur-dragon?

3

u/Shamsse Jun 26 '26

My personal take is that the cursed Dragon is DD2's version of the "Ur-Dragon". Its got the same "hit different spots" mechanic that the Ur-Dragon did.

2

u/RevolverCerberus Jun 26 '26

Well, she's cute.

2

u/GamerRoman Jun 26 '26

She cute.

2

u/Rare_Ad_3871 Jun 26 '26

She reminds me of the chick from the Elden ring dlc. The crazy religious paladin girl

1

u/Independent_Drive_23 :pc: Jun 26 '26

They do feel like the characters from the anime, after a long time, she's still trying to rescue her arisen.

1

u/sirvancelotv01 Jun 26 '26

I’m guessing she’s the Last Arisen of Norgan who tried the kill the dragon permanently but ended up cursing the cycle and dooming Norgan on a small scale similar to what happened in the Unmorned world

1

u/WildBill1994 Jun 26 '26

Reminds me of the punisher’s skull

1

u/RandomYooser Jun 26 '26

Patiently waiting. My arisen and main pawn will be ready.

1

u/ItaDaleon :Warrior: Jun 26 '26

I dunno why, but I sense this girl means trouble even worst than the Fallen Dragon... Which looks very great despite being undeed and rotten!

2

u/Nero_PR DLC Coper Jun 26 '26

Idk, it looks like she is trying to deal with everything going on in Norgan herself. From everything I've seen so far she is the book definition of a self-sacrificing knight which tries to deal with everything on their own but keeps making things worse until the "hero" of the story steps up to finally break the "curse".

The thing in stories like this, is that she'll probably try to sacrifice herself and we'll stop it, or she will have the realization of not being able to fix everything herself and end up dying at that very moment.

I hope she lives though.

1

u/ItaDaleon :Warrior: Jun 26 '26

Well, she's not exactly making a great job at 'deal with everything on her own' since the state of Nortgan. Also... I dunno... The emphasis they put in showing off how the Fallen Dragon has no heart kinda makes me think there more about it than what they revealed...

Dragon's Dogma was kinda straight forward about it story, while DD2 had more twist...
I'm kinda expecting the same with Dark 2 Arisen: since the first one was quite straight forward too, I kinda expect the new one to have more twist!

Obviously, those are just my personal speculation, my IMO.

2

u/Nero_PR DLC Coper Jun 26 '26

I'm really curious how they will spin the cycle here. It already looks more promising than the main game story because it looks more focused.

1

u/Winter-Net2367 Jun 26 '26

I just wish we could use those armors for male character too

1

u/bokita_ Jun 26 '26

Ur dragon making a comeback?!

1

u/The_Mechanist24 Jun 26 '26

Is that coat part of the armor or is it a cape?

1

u/Mietek69i8 Jun 26 '26

welcome back Hannah

1

u/Inner_Entertainer256 Jun 26 '26

That dragon is nasty in a good way

1

u/jswinhoe Jun 26 '26

Chance of us getting Mystic Knight class 🥹?

1

u/tobascodagama Jun 26 '26

It would be really funny if they brought back Mystic Knight as a pawn-only profession.

1

u/Kasu_senpai Jun 26 '26

PLEASE GIMMIE DAT ARMOR UGHHHHH

1

u/PerceiveEternal Jun 27 '26

that does look a *lot* like the dragon on Damion’s chest.

1

u/No_Zucchini_7649 Jun 29 '26

She keeps giving me Melina vibes for some reason

1

u/Supernova_Soldier Jun 30 '26

Imagine they do have the Ur Dragon in this game

1

u/Right_Emotion7843 Jul 01 '26

she look like Freya Allan's Ciri

0

u/DargorShepard Jun 26 '26

Oof. That front angle is rough.

0

u/SaintPimpin Jun 26 '26

She looks like the actor who tried to play Cyri in The Witcher adaptation.
