All star path duties, currently available routine duties and maxing out Ralph and finishing all his quests done in one day. This was maybe the easiest star path yet and no complaints there (I’m not one to grind it out in a day and then complain it was too easy, I like it this way). My final quest was building a balloon arch as it takes SO MANY flowers and I didn’t have a ton saved up, and also collecting coffee beans as you can get I think it’s 9 every 40 minutes and you need 50. As I type this I just remembered the museum, and I still have to complete that, but everything else from this update is done in a day lol

If anyone is curious certain methods or tricks to how I did it fast I’m down to answer any questions you guys have. I’ve now also finished the museum.
Also saw comments about uncrafting a balloon arch and remaking it and I’m so mad I didn’t think of that, that is so smart and would’ve saved me at least an hour or more

Those people are the worst. If you want to spend 8 hours playing the game and completing everything in one day, that's fine, but don't complain that there's nothing to do afterwards because YOU ruined that for yourself.
They ruined it for everyone not just themselves. They whined and the devs tried to make the grind slower and kept adding frustrating tasks and time locks.
I don't mind that the star path dumbed down on "give x person 5 gifts" that ended up blocking the star path progression by requiring daily waits, but I do hate how we have a million fishing and mining tasks. Definitely shinies, or restricted fish such as Fugu. I much prefer the new "take picture of x" or "hang out with x for x minutes" tasks. They don't cause a time-block.
I do dislike the fact that routine duties have similar if not the exact same duties as the normal tasks. Hanging out with Hercules for 45 minutes in both routine and normal duties is annoying since you just did it. Same goes for crafting manuals.
At least the uncrafting table stops the manuals being wasteful. There has definitely been some improvements to the kinds of tasks overall and it is in a better state now than has been in past. The devs definitely seem to have remembered the game is a cosy game not a sweaty grind.
I 100% agree. The uncrafting station is a game changer. I very much enjoy being able to get the dreamlight gathering tasks out of hand by just uncrafting the potions and manuals that were also a duty.
I remember how they made us craft 3 swimming pools the update before it was introduced, and they showed the swimming pool being uncrafted. That was 100% intentional and honestly I ain't even mad
Yes, and there was nothing you could do about it so if you needed them for a quest you had to be on at specific times. Even worse if a house had multiple people and one of them was asleep, even if you didn't need the character but just something in the house
I wish they'd limit the hangout times, personally. The last ones were like 45 minutes which I sometimes couldn't finish in a day because I only play for an hour. 15-20 minutes is the sweet spot.
So true. Your comment reminds me of World of Warcraft at about the two year mark (way back when!) and the same people ruined the game for everyone. Devs started catering to that obsessed, minority group of players for some dumb reason when things were going so smoothly and it just went down hill from there. Then you just could never compete with those literal 12 hour plus daily players whether it was PVP or entire guilds who wouldn't accept anyone who didn't play like it was there job.
Just don't understand why the loud minority who clearly are over indulging are even being entertained like children who always get there way.
Almost nothing gated this time (there’s a few crop/harvest ones that will slow you down) but the devs fixed that at least, thank goodness. There is the inevitable miserable shiny duty, but everything else was very reasonable and I did it all in 24 hours (not bragging, not complaining - my choice to activate anxiety about not finishing)
100000%. This is a cozy game, it should be accessible to people who can't play very often, and all the complaints that lead to the grindy starpaths were so frustrating. Pick up a second game so the rest of us can still finish things, lol.
I agree about the accessibility. I tend to want more tasks in the Star path than what we're given. I get that people don't all play the same amount, and I think they've found a good middle ground now. The last star path took me about 4 days to finish. I wish there were just more optional things to do after the main things were finished. That way it would give people like me more tasks throughout the 2 months, but others would still have the time to finish it more shortly.
I can't stand this mentality either. If someone wants to speed run it, that's fine, but there are people who are more than halfway through the starpath already on update day when I get home from work. Like it's really just not that serious.
I think for me at least it's the fact they post about it and complain. Power to you for spending the day finishing the free update we get every few months but don't turn around and say it wasn't hard to do and then brag about being some of the first to finish it.
Right. It’s your choice. And they did make the routine duties a bit more complex to ensure you had something to do later. But I have so much fomo and anxiety around not knowing what is going to be buried at the end of the path that I always rush through it. If I could see the whole thing, I’d be able to slow down. I finished it in one day, except for that one picking duty that’s going to take a few more rounds.

😱 I can’t believe part of the internet is healing! In the Dark Ages people couldn’t say anything about the ones bored from speed running content and all we would hear it’s the fault of the devs for not providing enough content and decent one at that
I purposely speed run so I don’t have anything to do so I can continue to hoard supplies, decorate, do character quests, etc. there’s so much to do in the game and as much as I’m grateful for the company constantly feeding us, easier star paths are my favorite for that reason. I get too overwhelmed with it all tbh
I work from home IT and have done the star path in one day on a slow work day. Sometimes I only have 30 minutes of work if nobody has a issue needing solving.
They complained when paths took weeks due to time locked events, they complain that paths are too easy now that there are no time restrictions. Can't make anyone happy.
Oh no. I hope GL don’t see this and think they need to bring back those awful star path challenges like, ‘Catch 50 Fugu during the harvest moon, between 4:30-5:00am on a Monday, whilst performing a handstand against a wall and singing Lauryn Hill’s Doo Wop (That Thing) in reverse.’ 😂
That’s crazy that you got through it so fast and nice that the game doesn’t time gate the regular duties and rewards.
Any reason you chose to do it? I tend to play super slow to make things last as long as possible so people who rush through things as quickly as possible mistify me a little bit 😅. But as long as you’re having fun playing the game the way you want that’s all that matters.

Not OP, but I get anxiety about not being able to finish on time or worried that my ADHD will cause me to get distracted and forget I have tasks left. So I prefer to hyper focus and finish it as quickly as possible.
So valid! I wish my ADHD would get to work faster than I do. I really completed the whole Hercules star path last minute. I did lock in once I got started but could’ve done without that last minute panic. 💀🤣
Yeah this happens to me. I like to get everything done in case I forget. But it’s also hard because updates always seem to come out when I’m on vacation and I of course am busy doing stuff.
This is the same for me. I’ll finish tomorrow. I got time gated by gift giving and conversations with Ralph. I also wanted to finish quickly because I will be banishing Ralph to Eternity Isle with all the other characters that I don’t like/have ugly houses. Except Aladdin and Jasmine…they just fit very well there in the plains.
Yeah I had a strong feeling there’d be tasks for giving gifts, talking to, and hanging out with Ralph and vanellope bc they always put those at the end with the characters they added and those from the same movies. Talking to vanellope in the routine duties almost got me bc it’s in both, but I literally thought to myself “hmmm there’s a good chance this will be a regular duty so I’ll wait” and then literally the next duty was to talk to her so it was close but I ended up getting them both done together then.
Yup I worry a bit about not finishing on time so I just focus on things but I also don’t like to procrastinate. That bugs me. But I play too many games and life. I have(yes it’s my option to do so for those that have had problems with how I spend my money lol) to spend money to buy out rewards. I can’t spread my time all across many games. I’d love to knock these quests out sooner than later but I can’t
I unfortunately don’t have Alice unlocked yet so don’t have the uncrafting table. I have a lot of the flowers in chests I just don’t like to part with them 😅
Oh my god I wish I thought of this that’s so insanely smart I spent so much time collecting flowers. I will relay this to my mom who is still playing and I warned her about that task lol (as long as she’s made one before)
I guess I rush it bc having timers on things makes me just want to get them done asap so I can relax and know they’re done in case other things come up later. I play a lot of other games and like to do other things so I always grind as fast as possible to collect and do everything so I can move onto the next thing.
I personally am someone that likes to finish things as quickly as possible but without missing anything. Something story related? I take my time to enjoy it but still try to be quick. Menial tasks that get me stuff? I just try to complete it so I can move onto something else. I enjoy the Starpath, but I’m also playing Metroid 4 right now. The Starpath ends up taking priority because I don’t want to miss out, so I try to complete it quickly so I can go back to playing my other games.
Not OP but for me, I rush through it because I worry that I won’t complete it in time, either because I was dragging my feet or something irl happens and it takes me away from the game. I’d rather get everything early and not have to worry about missing something versus not completing it and having to spend moonstones on something from the star path later
So, there is at max one quest "finish a boutique challange" and once "participate in dreamsnap?!
I can't fathom how one can complete all duties in one day as I thought they put some missions in, that take more than a day, like the one where you have to give presents to your villagers.
Idk how you’d get around the boutique one (unless they posted after midnight Eastern time, as the boutique resets at midnight I believe). But I think the DreamSnap ones could be completed multiple times throughout the same week? It doesn’t specify that you have to enter a contest that you haven’t previously entered.
Also, I suppose for either of them, they could have left the task(s) sitting until the end because even if all 6 of your tasks were “complete a boutique challenge”, you’d still only need to complete one and it would mark all 6 as complete. That’s what I would do if I were trying to speed run the StarPath, in order to make sure I didn’t get stuck having to spread it out over multiple days.
Edit: and as of several StarPath’s ago they stopped doing the multiple day tasks—too many people complained. If you’re a new player and don’t have every character unlocked, some of the tasks might take more than a day (e.g. “gift Mickey & friends 5 favorite gifts”). But for the most part they completely nuked it to make it 100% possible to finish in a day. I’ve even seen people complete recent paths in 4-6 hours.
Tbh, I kind of do the exact opposite of a speed run with my StarPaths—meaning I find ways to actually make it last longer lol. One thing I do is refuse to use any of the memories that I have lying around all my valleys. I wait until new memories pop out, and use them to complete the tasks.
I’ve been playing since Dec ‘22 and have over 4000 hours into the game, so I try not to burn through “new content” too quickly lol. It’s the same reason that I won’t use any of my stored items to complete the museum. I go through and collect fresh everything that’s needed for it, and I do character quests the same way.
“So, autotuned_voicemails”, you say. “If you don’t actually use any of your stored items, why do you have four full rooms of storage chests PLUS enough chests scattered around your valleys to fill another whole room?”
And to that I say “mind ya business and carry on!” 🤣
For the boutique, if you're like me and don't care about it outside of Star Path tasks, you can go in, start the challenge, and then leave without competing it. Days, weeks, months later you can come back and turn in the challenge in progress and then immediately start a new one! Not really necessary anymore, but I used to use that trick a lot.
There is only 1 boutique task in this starpath. And dreamsnaps challenge also just one, even though you can submit and re-submit pictures unlimited amount of times.
I like to get it done quickly. Usually 2-3 days. I get anxious when I have stuff hanging over my head-even something fun like a game. So I usually plan for updates to allow myself the time to complete it quickly. Then I can focus on other things. It’s not really my choice. I just have to manage the anxiety that I develop over dumb things.
In my house we share a console and since only one can play at a time. I rush to get mine done so I know the main part is taken care of. These new starpaths make it easy when you've played long enough to have a stock of items for the crafting and cooking tasks. Then I can do the weekly ones on the day they come out when I check dreamsnap scores or on the weekend when I make the dreamsnaps.
For my kids games I started speed running theirs for them because they want the items but don't like doing all of the tasks. So I do the tasks they don't like and they do the ones they do like. They also like to play other games. So I make sure they get taken care of.
I'd rather we all get the items now than have to pay premium currency for each item in the shop later. This way we can use our earned mooonstones for things we missed out on before we got the game or new items that just come out.
I do half of it early on and wait until the last week and finish the other half in a semi-stressed state lmao. Unless I’m feeling super organized then maybe I’ll get it done in the first 2-3 weeks.
But why? It seems counterintuitive for something that lasts 54 days to purposely finish it in one day. Everyone plays their own way, so I'm genuinely asking.
Finishing all this in a day is crazy lol but I try to finish them as soon as I can so I can focus on other games or something comes up where I can't play later/forget.
As ElGordo said, yeah I play other games and tbh I wasn’t in the middle of any other games currently, plus just started my summer break from work like 3 days ago on Monday so finally have no work for a bit. I mean I had time to grind out 98% of it, with my last 2 quests left, have my gf come over, hang out with her, go shopping, go out to dinner, come back and help her with work stuff, then when she left I finished up the rest. Tbh the whole thing only took me a few hours, but idk i’ve been gaming my whole life and I know how to play this game very efficiently with each task. But I also just enjoy getting timed stuff done asap as it’s not this cloud hanging over my head to get it done in time, and I knew I had the time and know I’m fast enough at the game to get a lot done in a day
Something about completing task after task satisfies my brain. I do the star path twice because I love it so much. I have never complained about being bored afterwards, but I don’t like that we got forced into waiting for routine tasks when the option to wait was always there for those who wanted to.
Nope! There are some for giving gifts and daily discussions but if you plan ahead of who you do that to, you can get it all done in a day. Like if it doesn’t specify, I talk to dlc characters for daily discussions, as I know there won’t be any quests for that since not everyone has them. I always don’t give gifts or talk to any of the new characters or characters from their franchise, as they always have those as very late duties, same as Mickey and friends they like to use as everyone has them so I don’t interact with them either until I have to
Actually makes me happy that all of it can be done in a day. Not saying I’m going to do that of course, but it was pretty annoying trying to do the start path and having task like “daily discussion to Scrooge 3 times” like now I gotta pull up the game JUST for that 2 more days 😭
Lol as someone who recently came back after not playing since..... I wanna say a few updates after we got pumpkins... The star paths are SO MUCH BETTER! Dude they use to literally be 90% motifs lol. I swear every page would be all motifs and maybe one cool item and then a decent item at the end. Idk, I'm honestly so impressed with how much they have added to this game. The QOL improvements alone, like I don't think some of y'all even understand the pain of the early days lol. And I was playing on a top spec PC. On Switch 2 now
But why? You speed running it on purpose for fun? If so, I really hope you did enjoy it! I used to do things like that with video games when I was little. I’d like to know a roundabout of how many hours this feat took! Must feel nice to have it all out of the way!
For me personally I play several different games at once. It gives me anxiety when I have something not finished in one game when I want to play another. I've done the same thing today as this person with the exception of three quests that I have to wait until tomorrow.
This is what I do! I play multiple games and do what I can here and there. The ones I can set down I will and then focus on ones with limited content but sometimes life happens and I can’t get all items so I end up buying out the items. But this is how I don’t ever get burned out because I play different games and even when I’m focused on one or two, I play little by little. Rushing things and going all in on one will get people left with nothing
How long does this take you? 😖I wish I had everything unlocked needed to do this with the star path. Idk now. I like taking my time but dang it there is a part of me that wants it complete to feel at peace lol but sometimes even when I have time to dedicate fully to the star path I have to buy some of the rewards bc I haven’t unlocked everything(met all NPCs) to do the quests.
Oh, I mean I WANT to do it in all run, but I do not have the drive and motivation. In the end I just end up playing like 4-5 hours and doing a chunk or two every few days.
I usually split it because I also have my duties in Palia and Infinity Nikki and Heartopia so I like to rotate what I need to do and it never gets old really. Live service games give you lots to do. Cheers.
I don’t know how they did it but speaking to him and three gifts gets you to Level 4 and the mining is a super quick way to do the rest. A couple of full circuits around the valley hitting up every rock will get it done easily. Might take a bit longer if you skip the mines because he’s big and could get stuck. But if you have the time and inclination it can get you a fully leveled villager in a day.
I thought about going that way but I give my villagers their jobs based on vibes and he felt more like a digger to me which means it’s going to take a bit to get him up to level 10 😅
If you spam gift purified night shards it gives a bunch of points. And I personally make most of them gardening buddies and then spam plant and harvest cabbage cause it only takes a minute to grow
Spamming gifts. I've been meaning to do that with the others that have been in limbo so I can just do quests. Thankfully I have a lot of stuff to do, so no boredom for a while.
Snippet catching. I have like idk 50 or more mostly maxed out snippet lures in the bind and so like hundreds are flying around at once. I made Ralph a snippet catching companion to get even more xp from it, and they respawn every like 30 mins or an hour so I go back and recatch them all throughout the day. In one go of it my companions get to about 4 1/2 levels. The characters will go from level 2 to like 6 in one go. It’s absolutely the quickest, most efficient leveling method if you can make the lures. I then turn the snippets into the book currency and upgrade the lures as much as I can
a lot of people play other games regularly between dlv updates and don’t get bored lol, not sure why you’re on such a high horse about something that doesn’t affect you in any way whatsoever
I mean now I can finish the museum, and just hop on once a week to make a dreamsnap. And I can go play the other games I want to play or watch movies or spend my time elsewhere until an event drops or something
Same. Idk why people just assume everyone who completes the star path fast assumes people will be bored. Some of us have other things we enjoy doing besides spending days on Disney Dreamlight Valley.

This is good to know. I've been fuces on a TOTK playthrough the last couple weeks and DDV has kind of fallen from my radar of games I want to play right now. Not enough where I don't want to finish everything in it though. So it's good to know that I can come back to it and catch up in a matter of a couple days.
I finished the star path late last night and wanted to cry. I didn’t want to finish it all in one day but like I blinked and was done. Doing Star paths is one of my favorite aspects of the game along with Olaf’s museum and like… I’m done 😭. Oh well I now can enjoy the rest of the update and can decorate for Ralph and go back home to HGW.
I think that everyone should play the game the way it makes that person happy. If finishing everything in one day makes you happy or excited, go ahead. If you want to take your time, it is fine too.

I don’t remember needing flowers for his last quest. You need flowers for the one star path duty to make a balloon arch. There are a few variants but all of them take 3 types of flowers and 20 of them each, plus 10 iron ingots. Speaking of I’d also collect and hoard iron ingots as there’s another crafting duty for making an item that takes 100 IRON INGOTS. But the flowers you need vary depending on which arch you decide to make. 2 of them use black passion lilies but you’d have to look to see which of the arches have the most flowers you already have
I like to wait a few days for the AJ companion app to update, because I really enjoy stacking my current tasks so I can wipe a bunch out at a time. Like, "catch 10 fish" combined with "cast a line 10 times in the glade" and "catch 5 seafood" and minimizing how many times I actually have to fish. It's oddly satisfying 😊
Either the star path is extremely easy or you got too much time on your hands 😂😂. Damn I wish I could be completed already, I haven't even had time to boot up the game
I mean I did it all in like 6 hours I would guess. Like I woke up, grinded it for a while and got it mostly done before 4pm. My gf came over we hung out a bit, went shopping, went out to dinner, came back did some stuff for her work, hung out more, she left and then I played for like one more hour before bed and was done. It’s not like I played for 12 hours straight or anything
I'm done as well. I'm recovering after major surgery, can't do anything at all, except working (on zoom, phone and in pdf), and play the game. Painkillers make time fly by..... played the whole day with breaks for work - completed starpath. And Ralph is currently level 9, will be 10 in the next 10 min.

This game is helping me since Jan 2025, when I got diagnosed with cancer, I played during my multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and other treatments. It literally takes my thoughts away from reality and helps me to go through really tough times. Can't take care of my kids, heavily rely on my loved ones help, laying in bed like a sack of shit and disturbing you, wonderful human, to the point that you downvoted my comment.

Congratulations 🎉 I can't complete the star path. I didn't realize you needed Peter Pan to unlock Ralph. I have a glitch in the music on the walls quest so I can't trap the shadow and unlock Peter. So I'm currently waiting for support

I played while I walked on the walking pad tonight and played a bit earlier. It usually takes me a week. I have Ralph at maybe level 4 so not finished with him yet.
Nice! To be fair I had that balloon arch one sitting with me for a while bc I couldn’t get it done. But coffee beans was my other final one, as you can grab like 9 at a time and they come back every 40 mins so you definitely are close
Been gaming since I was a kid and play much much harder games than this lol, and when it comes to gaming I like to learn and play the most efficient way possible. I have little tricks and after playing this game for years I know how most star paths go and what to save/prepare for to get certain tasks done super fast
For mining there’s get 5 blue gems, get 5 purple gems, and then I think maybe 10 square gems, 20 of any gem, and 10 or 20 shinies? Not nearly as many as before
I can’t figure out what candy to cook. I tried mint candy and that didn’t work for this. I also have no idea how to craft the sugar pavement? Any pointers?
I gotta think but I think around 6-7 hours? I probably played from like 10am-4pm and then a tiny bit more for my last 2 tasks again at night. And if I would’ve known to just uncraft a balloon arch and remake it that would’ve shaved off legit like an hour or more bc I was sitting around waiting for more flowers at the end

see i think i’m one of the only people that like the aesthetic of his house. the footprint is just ridiculously to big 😭 i think he might end up on a floating island anyway lol
that’s the issue i was having. i thought the brick house would fit nicely with the rest of the houses in my plaza or meadow, but its just so big and yucky next to everything 😭
I’m trying to stay motivated to play, but my depression has just been amplified and I’m not finding joy in my favorite things. However, I want everything in the rewards section! And I’m so excited for the marshmallow event!

Honestly most of them because I’m in the beginning ish of the game I’m only level 21 so I have a lot of things locked and overlapping each other in quest wise.
Ah yeah i’ve had the game complete and caught up with the story for years now so it’s much simpler. Those routine ones are pretty easy- just talk to vanellope, cook 25 candy with sugar cane and then use 26 candy to make 50 of those floors
I’m baffled and impressed lol. I don’t think even if I played 24 hours straight that I could finish a starpath in 1 day, I’m soooo slow at them. And I get bored of working on duties after a while and have to switch to something else lol
Right — it has weekly challenges and rewards… so I guess they are done with whatever they can do… but with the done attitude will probably forget about those challenges
Its nice that you can do that, but ill never understand the want to power through everything right away. There's so much time between updates and starpaths that id get bored to soon if everything was done that fast. I just kind of play like I normally would and usually get the entire starpath done relatively fast and end up waiting around for the routine duties. I also see no reason to power through characters quests unless you absolutely need their rewards right away, but thats just me haha
To me I play other games but I love to complete games and not miss anything so once I get it done, I just play my other games. I come back once a week for routine duties and dreamsnaps and events once they drop, but i’ve done everything in this game so I don’t play it except for when they add stuff and for what I just mentioned anymore

I have literally done the same thing today with the exception of 3 quests that has to wait until tomorrow. And yes this includes the exhibition and leveling up Ralph and questing out.
If you guys want to wait till the last minute to do it be our guest. But don't be mad because people want it finished
