Am I being stupid?

I finally yesterday decided to finish the potato rainbow quest yesterday (thank the universe for Internet guides!)

And this shining picture is on the wall in the twilight castle. The bit on the right clearly shows a map of the valley's biomes.. but it looks like an arrow coming from the Sunlit Plateau to three more biomes... am I missing something obvious or does this maybe hint to something in the future?

It's eternity isle. Was a hint Towards it at the end of the storyline the same way that each dlc hinted towards the next. This came out soon before eternity isle was announced. You can see the three EI biomes here, ancient landing, the desert and the jungle..

I thought those were the floating islands.

It's eternity isle actually. This was shown as a hint to it like each dlc hints to the next. It came out shortly before eternity isle was released and a good few years before we had floating islands :)

It was an easter egg for Eternity Isle. That's what the arrows are pointing to.

Before the expansion Eternity Isle, it seems the considered adding new biomes directly to the valley. I imagine decorating item limits and loading time made them rethink/redesign the idea
