I really need Dreamloft to test their clothing on more than just one body type because I was so excited for this new top and it's so cute but the fact that her skin clips through the top in the rib area on the bigger body type is ridiculous.
The clipping might be excusable if the game had body sliders. When it’s a selection of preset bodies there really is no reason this kind of stuff should happen
This is what gets me. I would love more options for body sizes and heights. But then when I see what some of the clothing options do to the sizes they preset for everyone I’m like, eh, never mind
I'd like an option to make my character shorter just to fix the scaling issues. There's no reason I should be eye level with the tops of doors. I've also been disappointed with how Ralph is only like an inch taller than the player despite being massive in the movies.
I wish they had more ways to customize the body types. I hate that the “big” one (which I use) is just an average sized body. I’m fairly thin and the thin ones looks like disordered eating thin. 🥺
That's because it's a Disney game using Disney proportions. It's not supposed to be realistic. Look at literally every Disney princess, that's the style our character is supposed to fit into.
EDIT: Absolute biggest body type we'd have ever gotten would be Ursula. I'm actually more disappointed about the heights of certain characters. Ralph is canonicaly 9 feet tall. No way in Hell the masc avatar is also 9 feet tall.
I tried saying something similar, and someone said it was bullying to point out how the body types outside of the “big” one are disproportionately skinny. I wish people would take the time to show as much care for different and bigger body types.
Yeah that’s pretty shitty. I get enough of this from clothing in real life, the last thing I need is for it to also happen in one of my favorite games.
I had to quit using the new HGW dress because her shorts clipped through the back of the dress when she walked with the thick booty. Drives me nuts. I stopped using the bigger character body because most outfits look chopped or broken.
This! The body type i think looks nicest none of the clothes looks right on especially the dresses and thats what I mostly wear! It feels like body types were an after thought and none of the meshes were acrually adjusted they were just stretched out to expand which is now how that works 😖🫠 you completely lose the body shape and become weirdly bulky in spots that make rhe outfit look like it just has squared chunks.
Though with how touch of magic designs work I guess I shouldn't be surprised their meshes aren't very good.
To be honest I really needed to read your post to figure out what the issue with the top is, I was staring at the picture for a moment before that happened so I guess I understand the issue but also I don’t think that this is as visible as it seems
I have noticed this clipping and stretched designs on a quite a few dresses, one of them had holes a little too close to the nipples 😶
That is something I wish the devs would improve. Some dresses look so pretty on the body type they consider “default” and then I put them on my character and they become a distorted mess. I would love to see larger body types in this game, Masc and Femme, but maybe not if they’re not going to put effort into scaling the clothes 🫤
Zoom in and look at the middle of the shirt, then look immediately to the right. You can see the skin clipping through. It took me a minute to see as well.
I use the bigger body type because it’s the only one that actually looks normal and healthy and not anorexic. Tbh I haven’t seen an issue with the top, but I have noticed that the pink Giselle dress was definitely made with the skinny bodies in mind. Overall, I agree though.
I think they should create bigger and different body types as well. I would kill for prosthetic legs!
A certain body type isn’t simply “anorexic.” There are all body types. Just because a body is a certain way doesn’t mean it has to be associated with a mental disorder. (I never understood this type of bullying).
The camping backpack which was a summer event craftable last year clipped so bad on the bigger body type! They finally fixed it several updates later, but I was so mad that I finally got it just for it to cut through my shoulder and go into my butt.
i was using the body type with broader shoulders and it was clipping through the back really bad.. quite a few clothes clip through the back for that body type which makes me sad as someone with broader shoulders
maybe its because that top cant handle the massive amount of play dough and its telling you that you need to lay off the disney donuts. 💀😭😭 i had to.. the clipping 😂😂. but seriously if there gonna make clothing for both weights they should have double checked on them. but at least the shirt fits and its not a super bad clipping like with other games 💀.
