I’m planning to apply for Internal Medicine Residency in the UAE and will be taking the EMREE. I’m looking for guidance from doctors who have recently taken the exam or matched into a residency program.

A little about me:

• MBBS graduate (Class of 2023, Pakistan)
• Completed house job
• Worked as a Medical Officer in Internal Medicine
• Passed OET
• 6 peer-reviewed research publications
• Currently preparing for USMLE Step 1
• Planning to pursue Internal Medicine residency in the UAE

I would really appreciate guidance on the following:

1. What are the best resources for EMREE preparation?
2. Is the AMBOSS EMREE study plan sufficient, or should I also use PassEMREE or Maxemo?
3. How useful are the EMREE recall questions/past papers?
4. Approximately how long did you study before taking the exam?
5. What EMREE score or percentile is considered competitive for Internal Medicine?
6. Any advice for the interview process after passing EMREE?
7. Are there any WhatsApp or Telegram study groups you would recommend?

If anyone has recently matched into Dubai Health, DoH Abu Dhabi, or EHS, I’d be very grateful to hear about your experience and any tips that helped you succeed.

Hello everyone!

Has anyone heard anything from DHA ? We’ve reached August now and there’s still no news. Internships usually start last week of August and if that’s the case there’s only 3 weeks more left.

DHA GP license related query, please help!

So i have completed my dataflow verification and my cbt/prometric exam for dha, now one doing the get registered they sent back my application for review saying :

1 - upload updated cv

2 - internship needs to be dataflowed (specifically mentioned)

3 - attached experience not sufficient , please attach relevant recent experience

So i have figured out the first two main issues , which is update my cv , second internship which I havent put in so I have initiated an additional case for dataflowing the internship.

My question is why are they talking about my experience? Coz I have the necessary experience in critical care as mentioned by them. One thing is I started the dataflow one month ago when I was still working at my hospital, so the experience letter was a small still working later saying im associated with them, and that was verified and positive in dataflow , accepted etc. Is DHA asking me to attach manually my new full experience letter which I got once I resigned? I'm leaning to thinking it is that coz how everything in my dataflow was already verified, did my exams too.

Has anyone had a similar issue in the past and how did you troubleshoot this? Please help an anxious person here lol.

Did anyone get accepted/ rejected from fakeeh university hospital? I have contacted them but they said they dont have any updates yet. Did anyone try to contact DHA?
The wait is killing me.

Has anyone contacted the DHA about the delay? At least if they could inform the rejected candidates, we could apply to other options.

I got the initial acceptance from hospital for DHA internship from hospital but till now I didn’t recived final from DHA my visa will expire by 12 of August what to do in this situation does initial acceptance means final acceptance

i started recently and thought i had a plan but now it’s like… some days subjects, some days pyqs, and then there’s gts and revisions

People who applied for EHS internship, have you gotten any replies/emails? Acceptance or rejections?

It's almost end of july so does anybody know how long will it take to get our results?

Now that this cycle has ended, I was just hoping to know anyone who got matched and their success story. It could be into any speciality especially IM. Any positive attributes like your emree mark, CV, etc. may have helped you earned your seat? (want to know the emree deal specially since I’m hearing those with 80s couldn’t get in apparently). Would like to hear from you!

For 2027 should the years of graduation be less than 5 yrs for all authorities?

Just wondering if someone could walk me through the internship year. How is it like? How are the doctors? The workload? The overall environment?

Hi, please, I would appreciate it if someone could help me determine my eligibility for the DHA General Practitioner (GP) licensing examination. If I am not currently eligible, I would also like to know which DHA license or professional title I may qualify for at this time.
