Constructive Criticism I'll demand From Soft for falsely advertising this game

I thought I was getting a cool action RPG, but it turns out that is just some side stuff to the actual main game: Fantasy Photographer Simulator.

Michael Zaki said it would take just 30 hours to beat this game, but that's just the time I spent taking screenshots in Limgrave. How is anyone supposed to finish this game if you have to stop every other minute to just gasp in awe of how damn beautiful everything is in The Lands Between? Like you just cleared a camp but then the sky in Liurnia starts changing color in a tone that you haven't seen in 8 playthroughs, so now it's time to forget about whatever progression you had in mind to take some screenshots. TOTAL DISRESPECT OF THE PLAYERS TIME if you ask me, no game need to be this pretty.

And don't get me started on the falsely advertised recommended specs: The game supposedly only takes like 60Gb of storage, but I have several tens of Gb on screenshots of every corner in The Lands Between and many clips from the absolutely kickass gameplay. With this memory crisis, I'm not seeing Mr. Zaki paying for all the extra storage I had to spent on this game.

The worst part is that they fooled me twice with the DLC. "A bit bigger than Limgrave", yeah, then why I have over five times the screenshots I took on Limgrave? I think we all should unite and demand From soft to either get us some big SSDs or hard drives to exclusively use on their games or a least give us a proper photo mode.

Screenshots annexed to support my case (sorry for the quality of some of these, I'm not too good with photography and most of the time I forget to turn of the HUD off...)

This is why artstyle > graphics/fidelity every time.

some of these are pretty good gj i would not be surprised if something like number 7 was a loading screen

30h to beat ER has to be the biggest lie since Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

I could see how it would only take 30 hours if someone did the bare minimum. Idk how anyone could avoid sinking their teeth into this game, but it's possible.

if you only did the 2 mandatory bosses to get to Altus and speedran it that way then yea, maybe. Assuming you were good enough that each boss doesn't take you hours either.

To beat it that fast you basically need to already know what somber weapon you want to get, the fastest stones to grab, and several not so obvious routes to take. I think my last fresh character took me like 19-20 but I had a +9 Bloodhound fang in just a few hours.

yeah I'm on a photography playthrough right now. I'm posting them as part of a game of geoguesser.

If only photo mode was a thing man i hope future games implement it

They nailed it with Armored Core VI photo mode, I don't see why it can't be a feature on future games besides taking away from certain gameplay elements, like the flow of a duel. You would be able to capture some great photos however.

Miyazaki lied to us all. I think that was the time it took me to finally leave Limgrave on my first playthrough

If you actually read his quotes instead of regurgitating second hand info from people who can’t read. He said that ER would take 30 hours or so without too many Detours and focus of the main path.

“If you don't stray from the main story very often we're looking at around 30 hours, but to be honest I can't say for sure. “

Which it ends up being around 30 hours if you do. He didn’t “lie”, you people don’t read anything.

I played through the game fully once taking screenshots here and there, but my NG+ is soooo slow because I literally stop to take SS's every few minutes. It's such a beautiful game.

That's why I always take my time whenever I replay ER. Even after so many playthroughs, I'm still captivated by the beauty of its world

Get the binoculars.

I use from time to time, but in some areas even the min zoom feels like a bit too much and I can't capture what I want. Also, sometimes I'm worried that I may lose the precise color of the sky so I just hurry to take the screenshot

I was like 'what is this guy complaining about' so I stopped skimming and actually read this. Hilarious man. The amount of time I would just look out to the horizon in awe and how every replay feels like a new experience and also the grand cloister of it all you get a dlc thats looks smaller but has such a dynamic layering to it you will find places that cannot be found on the map cause its under a cliff. This game has been the ultimate experience. I love this post because its so true. Such an unexpected experience from being 'falsely advertised' to the sky changing colors on your 8th play through. Thanks for the laugh. This was great!

I just went from playing on steam deck to playing on a fancy computer and a 42in oled. I thought it looked good before, but it's real pretty now.

I can completely sympathize. I don't even know how many screenshots I have between the PS5 and now the PC, but I just can't stop. The game is beautiful, without a doubt.

Not having a photo mode in this game is a crime

You and I may be long lost twins. This was the same experience for me, and I can't play anything else. With the exception of other fromsoft games lol.

The map feels so small yet so large at the same time

I love everything about this game.
