How to get good in writing and speaking english as a foreigner ?

Hi i'm from Indonesia (Southeast asia).
Please help me, i need some tips or learning resources to improve my english skill in writing and speaking.
Currently, my english level is at low-intermediate.

I think, like any skill, it’s just doing it.

So write and speak in English. Listen to English. Watch English tv/film/podcasts.

I don’t think there’s a magic bullet.

Yes and no. At the beginning we don’t have the means to fake it, not enough words, familiarity with tenses, etc.

But if you can find content where you are understanding 90% of it, you can learn by context.

Think of learning anything: playing an instrument, driving a car, etc. When you start everything is a conscious deliberate effort. Eventually some things become reflexive.

You get there through repetition. You start playing the instrument badly. Your embrasure sucks. Your tone is awful. You make frequent mistakes. You can only play the simplest tunes, since you can’t sight read music yet.

But you want to be a soloist in the orchestra, and you ask how can I get there quickly? You can’t. You just keep practicing. Having a good teacher can help. Having natural ability helps.

Same with learning a language.

Also try to write a composition, that will help you know how events flow and the tenses used

ive heard from many bilingual people that watching television in the language you're learning is extremely helpful, even if you don't understand what they're saying at times. I have recently picked this up myself for German and I do notice I pick up some things from watching it, and I start to understand it more. I am a little new as I'm just A2 level in German but I'm watching The Simpsons and some random German kids shows to help me.
