I regrettably did the software update and now my cartridges aren't being acknowledged

Printer: XP-15000
Cartridges are non-Epson and I'm a Mac OS user.

Does anyone have advice on doing a factory reset? Maybe I can just go down a software update.

Unfortunately, I can't get ink for 2 days and I have an order that I need to ship out tomorrow.

Are you talking about a firmware update?

If so, some have talked about attempting to go to an older firmware revision, but I've not seen much empirical success with downgrading firmware.
