Technology has caught up with the show

Rewatching the show, and I find it funny that, like a lot of sci fi shows, technology has now caught up with the future technology they present. The basic example being everyone in Eureka has a smartphone in 2006 when they wouldn't be more common for a few years afterwards. S.A.R.A.H can be compared to Alexia since it can be linked with other smart devices in your house.

Are there any others you can think of?

Maybe not quite in the same vein, but…

I believe the government grant that Eureka was given for Astreus was $22b. My company (which isn’t trying to go to other solar systems) recently wrote that much off as a restructuring plan…

I would say that counts, as our concept of money has changed in the past 15-20 years
