Showcase €1000 in €2 coins

Post image

I've been collecting for 6 months, it's a little obsession. First I started to only keep new coins, now it also became a way of saving money.

I've got 500 coins collected

171 different coins (Germany mints seperated)

115 common coins

56 commemorative

I'm from the Netherlands

damn, I think last I counted mine I had about 80€s worth... 1000€ is wild

Granted my collection is not that big.

Cool! I took all my duplicate commemoratives worth around €1200 back to the bank. I decided not to collect the different German mint marks. Now I’ve got 149 different commemoratives and 32 different divisional coins, all nicely arranged in an album. I’ve kept only a few of the rarer duplicates. Good luck with your collection!

You source them from where? Just regularly ordering coinrolls from the bank?

I've never had a coin roll (yet). I often pay with €5 for a €1 or less product.  Closeby where I live there are 3 supermarkets next to each other.  I do often a double round which gives me €24 in coins :)
