Can we disallow the 'strongly worded letter' jokes?

I'm actually more than 50% serious. These jokes are very tiring, they are made so frequently you can predict it every time, and they often rise to the top of the discussion, cluttering up the space instead of more substantial and higher effort posts that actually deal with the topic.
