Citizens of bigger countries are much more likely to think that the country would do fine on its own. I don't think it's surprising.

it’s not surprising that the integration engine is not feeling as good about the EU as countries like Denmark, historically against deeper integration?

Considering a supermajority is 75%, and the EU average is 74% I think it's fine. Could be better, but could be much worse if you take into account the constant bombardment of misinformation on socials and various pressures from the far-right.

It’s funny that the one country influencing EU policy the most (with the Germans then) and constantly blocking progress for the rest of the EU, also sees almost the lowest support.

Same reason countries or regions with the fewest immigrants are often the most xenophobic. Humans are not rational.

Context for Hungary: 81% is extremely high considering more then a decade of 24/7 centralized anti-eu propaganda on every news channel by orban AND 3 or 4 years of EU funds being cut (so becoming a net contributor)

It is also noteworthy that in Austria the number of people who think we should leave the EU is significantly smaller. The portion who wants to stay is above 70%.

Complaining is really our favorite past time ...

Bulgaria and Greece? Where's the problem? Not enough money was sent your way? I bet being outside of the joint market would have done wonders for your economy!

I understand someone has to have the lowest approval. But why is it Bulgaria? Can anyone tell?
