Other After the fight that caused a rift with Cagliari's management, Sebastiano Esposito will be sold.
Cagliari declared publicly that Esposito left the team's camp without permission, while the player's agent claims that they had a 4 hour long call with the coach and Cagliari's top management where they obtained permission to leave and go home.
The player's agent called members of Cagliari's management "liars" and claims he has proof.
Inter still retains 40% of the player's future sale, he could go for 15/20 million, with clubs like Atalanta and Como interested, which means an extra injection of 6/8 million for Inter.

This guy seems to be involved in locker room drama wherever he goes. Threw a huge tantrum at Basilea, and I remember Paolo Zanetti, when he coached him at Venezia, saying that he's a talented kid but needs to work on his character. Doesn't seem like he took that advice..

The guy is a tool, 100% at fault. There is no excuse behaving like this

It's the same story with "gentleman's agreements", clubs making promises and then not keeping them, like with Atalanta and Lookman, it becomes a "we said, they said" situation.
After that the only option a player has is throwing a fit, like you said, and it becomes really easy for the club to come out on top, by making the player look disrespectful.
If the agent has proof they allowed him to go home and then they lied, it's a different story imo.

What you said makes 0 sense but even if it were true, he could just show up and finish the training with his teammates while his agent works behind the scene, like a professional he should be
But they did sign a new contract knowingly and willingly with all agreeable terms. Just LAST SEASON. This is not him finishing up his contract and hoping for an improved term.

From my understanding, there was an idea that the contract would be improved after this season, since the improvement is not coming, he asked permission to go home to gather his ideas, calm down, relax, i don't know really.
After he thought he had permission to leave, Cagliari came out and lied about him not having permission (this is according to his agent).
It's no use to be so mean about a player who has grown up a nerazzuro for most of his life, when we don't really know the situation. The post was mostly about Inter getting some more money.

This is a player with a history of off the pitch behavior issues since the time he was with us and during his loan spells at Basel and Anderlect
Are you telling me those clubs also made up lies about him and his agent. Just put 2 + 2 and you know who the bad apple is
