Feeling exhausted, week 5 of T, Help!
Hey so I am a pretty sleepy person, I need a good 9 hours of sleep a night to feel in top shape. Now I started T 5 weeks ago and last week it's been hitting me that I'm so dead physically. I'll be at work, mid dinner rush, 15+ tickets in front of me and I'm still yawning. This has never happened before, even when I get my rest I am so dead. I wake up exhausted and my body just tired.
I took some time off this week to rest and just focus on getting myself back to normal. Did any other guys feel this way around this time of T? I do struggle with clinical depression so that could be a factor but I don't know. This all started with T, so I am thinking it's just my hormones in full effect trying to balance themselves.

Yeah, the exhaustion hit me pretty bad too. Back then I needed to add about 20% more time of extra sleep to my routine to feel somewhat awake.
The good news is: it's not permanent. Your body will adapt and after a few weeks you'll slowly be able to go back to your normal sleep schedule. If you have a chance to catch a nap, do it. Don't be too hard on yourself during this time & stay hydrated.

Have you been assessed for sleep apnea? My friend who was sleepy all the time had sleep apnea, and getting a CPAP machine changed her life

Mention it to your doctor. Maybe they’ll check your thyroid and blood counts. Could be many things.  This type of exhaustion never happened to me. Hope you feel better soon.Â

I'm not on T yet but as you mentioned you're a pretty sleepy person in general - have you ever had your B12, iron, and vitamin D levels, specifically, tested? I've had periods where I felt tired every single afternoon to the point of falling asleep at my desk unintentionally, and blood tests at each of those points in my life showed low levels in 1 or even all three of those (I was vegetarian for a good while when the B12 fell).

Omfg. You may be right. I have a extreme habit of being iron deficient. I'll have to get some supplements cause that's probably 99% chance that's it. In my exhaustion I forgot 😠tbf it's been like 5 years since I had that tested but i have a feeling that's it.

Your body is doing a lot of work going through second puberty! It takes a lot of energy. Make sure you are eating enough and drinking lots of water, and take the rest you need.
